Karaoke: The Bible. Not Quite!,

While Karaoke: The Bible is filled with some delightful stories, it completely lacks substance. I do not see that this is anything more than a compelation of jumbled articles bound and sold as a book. There is no historical context whatsoever. Where did Karaoke come from? What about guidelines for the beginner or frightened? The title exclaims "everything you need to know about Karaoke." Well, I'm fairly curious AND I've read this book - I still know very little. Would someone please explain Karaoke to me?!
