I have a seven year old ( very active ) daughter who is extremely energetic. She loves to dance and see herself in the mirror and pretend she's a singer. This is the best $80.00, I have spent so far, This music video maker is perfect to sing along with, dance and to make your own at home videos. In addition theirs a kaleidoscope lens for special effects. Take it from a very serious toy buyer, this product is great for the whole family!!!

I bought this for my 4 year old SON for christmas 04, yes my husband was a little leary of the pink but what fun my 4 and six year old sons have had with it they love to hook it up and watch themselves dance and sing sometimes recording sometimes not we play the cd player in the background instead of the plug in cartridges so they can hear what they want... I think it is a great toy for a boy or a girl, and what a great price!!!

i paid $29.99 at Big lots,also new.
i wouldnt however pay the $90 or $60. it really is limited for that price.
for her though,its perfect.
she loves seeing herself.

I love this toy. I got it a local store for $30, but it's well worth more. My husband and I played with it for a couple hours before gifting it to our kids. The video needs a lot of extra light, but it's so much fun to be in the spot light anyway. We love it.

I bought this Karaoke VIDEO MAKER for my 5 yr old. She loves it!! Im glad that I didn't use the 1st review as a reference because if they had of read the name of the machine closer, NOWHERE in the title does it say CD Karaoke. Its a video/karaoke maker for young kids. Also, just because it is pink, doesn't make it Barbie, which it isn't. Its a great video/karaoke playing machine for young kids that works great & is easy to hook up. They can do it themselves & spend hours just dancing & singing along. Im real glad I bought this for my daughter.

I got this toy for my daughter's 5th birthday (November '04). She loves being a "star" with Mom, Dad, & brother as backup! When we first opened it, we sang & recorded the whole Cheetah girls CD. That's right, you can use regular CDs or the radio for that matter so your not obligated to buy any of the cartridges made for this (which are hard to find & most of the songs we don't know anyway). Now when she has sleep overs, it keeps her and her company entertained all night. The only problem I have with this toy is the mic. It's not as loud as it should be. But you can turn the music down a couple of notches wich helps a little. Do keep in mind that it is a toy and not as high-tech as some may think. I got it at a great price (1/2 off what the stores wanted) and it was worth it. I think it's a great gift for any "little Diva"!

I bought this for my six year old daughter for Christmas. We played with it for about 3 hours total before the microphone broke. At first, I was sure it must be the batteries but changed those and it still didn't work. We unscrewed the mic cover and found that two little wires were not saudered where they were supposed to be. I am VERY disappointed and will be exchanging this in hopes that it was just a rare problem that won't happen again.

Folks- This uses only Barbie cartrages designed just for this system. They are HARD to find. Disregard the LOL-happy reviewer. Hooking up a CD player does NOT make this a true Karaoke machine... I bought this today but thinking of taking it back 'cause it seems pretty limited.

It says clearly in the booklet that you hook up your CD Player; which even includes the link cable
( Hmmmmm...how could that previous poster not have figured that out) LOLOLOL!

Anyway....it is one of the products from the
Barbie Company that I actually give five stars to.
I bought it for my Kids and they love it! Moms if your daughter is a Deva wanna be well...This is a great buy. Hint....wait until Christmas to save. I bought mine at Target during the Holiday Sales after Thanksgiving (...) This item is a must for slumber parties for your daughters. Five stars from this product reviewer.

My daughter likes this toy! it's alot of fun.Me and my husband found our selves playing with it.It only comes with one sing a long cartridge(which includes six songs)but so what because it hooks up to the cd player.You might not have all the words written down to follow but that just makes it more fun to see how funny it is when you screw up.it is just for fun.This is not an adult product so you can't expect so much for a kid price.I like the special effect lens and the fact you can make it echo.I do how ever think the picture could come a little clearer and I think there should be an option to plug in the mike so you don't have to keep changing the batteries.you can't sing a long with out the mike because theres no sound only music from the cartridge but the plus is there is an extra socket for a mike so another cutie pie singer can join in.
