Save Face:

This a wonderful album for practicing before you go out of the privacy of your shower and risk public embarassment in front of an audience at a karaoke lounge. It is painful to have to listen to an off-key, off-rhythm, bad karaoke singer who doesn't know the words.

The first six tracks are only instrumental, allowing you to sing solo. Nice orchestral accompaniment to back you up.

The following tracks seven to twelve are the same songs, and feature a lead singer (who sings on key).

You can sing back-up harmony for the lead singer on the last six tracks. If you sing in the same key as the lead singer, you can practice using the same musical phrasing and timing of the lead singer in a duet, or do variations to interweave your voice with the voice of the lead singer.

It is unfortunate that the previous reviewer gave this a one star rating on the basis, that the song selections didn't work for him/her. Since the reviewer did not give further bases for his/her reasons, I am assuming the reviewer simply did not like the individual song selections, or else has difficulty singing in the key of the selected songs.

I really like this album.

If you'll notice six songs are presented twice - once with instrumental only for you to lay in your karaoke vocal.

The second round has vocals added.

I only downloaded track 7 - Time is on My Side. - the other tracks don't work for me.
