+ Now has 50 songs
+ You can design and create your own characters or choose from old favorites + EyeToy lets you put yourself into the game + Duets + Option of using a dance pad and incorporating Dance Dance Revolution along with the singing + Gold, Platinum & Diamond (perfect score) rankings + 69 items to unlock - and you can access the unlocking status to see what it takes to progress + They've gotten rid of the solo challenge section (which is where you had to unlock most of the items in the past) + Games modes: - Quickplay - one player version - Arcade - the player with the highest score wins - Medley - sing short clip versions of 3-5 songs all in a row - Sing and Dance - Minigames - KR Challenge - variety of game modes - Duets - Duets Medley - Knock out - Out sing your opponent to knock them out of the game - Knock out Medley - Sing off - 2 players alternate lines to get the highest score + Demo of DDR Extreme that has 3 songs to choose from I have loved Karaoke revolution from the beginning. I didn't think it could be any better than the 3rd version when they added the duets. This version takes the game to a whole new level. There is a wide variety of songs, so many different types of people can play. There are several songs that begin locked, but it didn't take too long to get them unlocked. The mini games are terrible and there was no need for them on the disk. I found that it is near impossible to both sing and dance at the same time. If you don't know all the words to a song, it is impossible to read the singing and dance lines at the same time. Besides, it's extremely difficult to speak, much less sing while exerting yourself on the dance pad. I recommend having one person sing and another dance. This changes it up and gives you some great songs to dance to. I like the DDR games, but never have been crazy about the songs, so I really like the great songs. Here is a complete list of the songs on the game as well as the artist of the version of the song: Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell Ain't Too Proud to Beg - The Temptations Always - Atlantic Starr American Woman - Lenny Kravitz Brick House - The Commodores Call Me - Blondie Crazy - Aerosmith Crazy in Love - Beyonce Do You Really Want To Hurt Me - Culture Club Drive - Incubis Dust in the Wind - Kansas Endless Love - Lionel Richie & Diana Ross Every Little Thing She Does is Magic - The Police Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears Everywhere - Michelle Branch & Santana Fame - Irene Cara (from the soundtrack) Fly - Hilary Duff For You I Will - Monica Greatest Love of All - Whitney Houston Headstrong - Trapt Here I Go Again - Whitesnake I Don't Want to be - Gavin DeGraw (I've Had) The Time of My Life - Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes (Dirty Dancing soundtrack) I Left My Heart in San Francisco - Tony Bennett I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston If You Could Only See - Tonic I'll Be - Edwin McCain Material Girl - Madonna Me and Bobby McGee - Janis Joplin Pain - Jimmy Eat World Pieces of Me - Ashley Simpson Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry Start Me Up - The Rolling Stones Superstition - Stevie Wonder Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond Takin' Care of Business - Bachman-Turner Overdrive Take On Me - A-Ha That's Amore - Dean Martin The Game of Love - Michelle Branch Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper Truth Is - Fantasia Barrino Turn the Beat Around - Gloria Estefan Unforgettable - Nat King Cole Uptown Girl - Billy Joel Waiting for a Girl Like You - Foreigner What I Like About You - Romantics Who Can It Be Now - Men at Work You're My Best Friend - Queen (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin Final Verdit: Run don't walk to buy Karaoke Revolution Party!

Santa brought this game, and I don't think we've stopped playing since! It is such a blast, and really brings the family together. We were all so excited when my husband finally beat platinum on "Brick House" (it was our last one left that wasn't platinum) the other day. It has a great variety of songs...new and old. Another reviewer said there weren't enough new songs, and I disagree. My friends' daughters (21 and 16) even commented on how many new ones there were (but they still chose to sing "Take On Me" from the 80's. My 8-year-old and my husband have gotten perfect scores on "Material Girl." In fact, my daughter loves all the old 80's tunes. The only problem we've had with this game is that the arrows don't show up for the dancing. We don't have a mat, but we tried it at someone else's house. Anyway, I'm sure we'll get that squared away by the time we get a mat. I cannot recommend this game enough! Don't get the headset, the regular mics are better...be sure to get two for duets!

I don't know how to extoll the praises of this game loudly enough. We plugged it in on Christmas morning and the entire family and friends have been playing it ever since. The selection of songs is excellent. The sing and dance feature brings sends this game WAY out in front of earlier editions (which we also have). The eye toy is a good addition. Just everything about it is first rate. I can't think of a single drawback. My only suggestion is that you purchase the game and make it an experience for the entire family, PARENTS TOO!

This was the first karaoke revolution game that I received, and I enjoy it very much! However, the songs on the game I found were quite old, even for someone like myself, a senior in college. I dont know about the rest of you, but the 80's were a blur for me. I didnt know these songs very well, which can put a major hinderance on game play. I liked the high amount of songs they put on he recent game, but I have already ordered Karaoke Revolution Volume 3 after seeing more recent songs that I would know.
I found the "sing and dance" mode to be challenging, and if you dont know the song by heart, dont play it, because you need to be watching the arrows for where your feet should be going. I would also recommend a wireless microphone for the dance pad (if they exist) since a cord will get in the way of your dancing moves. I thought it was really cool that the game had a sense of initiative, with over 50 different unlockable items (although 90% of which are items you can use to create your character, or just a new character). Some of the songs listed here need to be unlocked through game play. I'm sorry I couldnt think of every artist for these songs, but if it isnt listed, assume its from at least 15 years ago. 1. (I've Had) the Time of My Life 2. (You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin 3. Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing 4. Always 5. American Woman - Lenny Kravitz 6. Brick House 7. Call Me 8. Crazy - Aerosmith 9. Crazy In Love - Beyonce 10. Do you Really Want to Hurt Me? - Boy George 11. Drive - Incubus 12. Dust in the Wind 13. Endless Love - Lionel Richie 14. Every Little Thing She Does is Magic 15. Everybody Wants to Rule the World 16. Everywhere - Michelle Branch 17. Fame 18. Fly - Hilary Duff 19. For You I Will - Monica 20. Greatest Love of All - Whitney Houston 21. Headstrong 22. Here I Go Again - Whitesnake 23. I Dont Want to Be - Gavin DeGraw 24. I Left My Heart in San Francisco 25. I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett 26. I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston 27. If You Could Only See 28. I'll Be - Edwin McCain 29. Material Girl - Madonna 30. Me and Bobby McGee 31. Pain 32. Pieces of Me - Ashlee Simpson 33. Play That Funky Music 34. Start Me Up - Rolling Stones 35. Superstition - Stevie Wonder 36. Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond 37. I own all previous Karaoke games, and they were all great! This one includes so many other activities as well it makes it even more interesting and fun. In comparison to the prior 3 Karaoke games, the only thing I don't like about this one is the font that is used in the menu's. Although attractive to the eye, it is hard to read. It would of been better if they had the menu setup look the same as in the prior 3 Karaoke games. Other than that minor detail, this game is a blast.

This game is great for when you have a group of friends come over. It really breaks the ice between you and anybody you may not be familiar with and it is incredibly entertaining. I suggest this game for everybody.

My 8 and 10 year old LOVE this. I highly recommed it to anyone. It helps teach kids how to sing with pitches and tones. The kids love to dress up their characters. Even the boys in the neighborhood get invovled. I see this lasting for years to come.

This game is so much fun! I don't own it, but my friend does, and I want to get it for my birthday. But I think I should tell you why exactly anyone needs to own this game!
First of all, there are 50 songs to sing. Some you have to unlock, but all you have to do is sing an already available song. You're rated on the notes you are supposed to sing, and if you don't exactly know the lyrics, you can just hum along if you want to. There is a character editor where you can make your name, characteristics and clothing for a character. Or you can pick an already made character. The thing which is totally descriptive is that you can pick the body type of your character: muscular, curvy, skinny...the works. There are unlockables, too! Over the course of the game, you unlock songs, outfits, and accessories! You can also do medly and sing-off activities. Medly is when you pick 5 songs and sing individual parts of each of them. Sing-off (I can't remember if that is the actual name) is when you do different types of styles of the game. So you can do short song, medly, and all kinds of other things. Then you can see "who will be named champion of karaoke!" This game is incredibly fun and enjoyable, as you can see. If you do buy it, I suggest you buy two microphones, then you can sing duets (also incredibly fun). This game is perfect for all ages; my neighbors have children at the age of 7 and he loves singing his heart out to some of his favorite songs. So take my word for it, and you will be thankful you did!

What a great game for parties and get-togethers! It's always sure to provide a few good laughs. The songs on this game are popular hits that most everyone knows. It offers a way to sing karaoke, but also makes it a bit of a challenge, knowing that you can get boo-ed off the stage or trying to beat each other's scores. One of the best features of this game is the two-mics mode, where you can sing duets. This game also offers sing and dance mode, where you can combine karaoke with the dance revolution game - this is really quite hard though! We have played this in teams, where one person sings and the other dances! Regardless how you use this game, it's sure to provide plenty of fun and LOTS OF LAUGHS for you and your friends!

I bought this on whim as a last minute Xmas gift for my family and we have had so much fun with it. It is the only video game in which I consistently beat my husband!
