Like allways there is something for everyone, I like most of them, I don't care for some, but still I think it's a good selection...

This one is more fun than the 1st version, 'cause most of the lyrics are easy to sing than the 1st one. I enjoy the time of singing and it's really helpful in some of my party. Pretty cool game[...]

I bought this as a gift for my brother, who is in his 30's. We played it for the first time with our parents and had a ball! Hours of family fun.
Even for me and I can't carry a tune in a bucket. Our parents were not as familiar with all the songs on this version, but there was enough of a selection to keep them in the game. You need to have your own microphone. (We had to go purchase one.) Overall, we had a great time and would all reccommend it. My brother says he plays it constantly and thinks he is the AMERICAN IDOL...

I don't understand why PS 2 would make a karaoke game that's not even compatible with SingStar microphones, when Singstar is supposedly PS 2's choice for karaoke games! I had to purchase a separate mike just to use with this game, and I didn't appreciate the lack of instruction that this would be the case. The reason I gave it a few stars is because the game is actually fun and has a few good songs on it. The character creation and costume changing options are also rather cute.

This is THE BEST song list of all the KR games!! Need a guilty pleasure song...Copa Cabana. Love the 80s...Black Velvet, Sweet Dreams, Tainted Love. Looking for more modern...You're Beautiful. More classic...Bohemian Rhapsody. Want to teach your kids to spell...Glamorous (yes, my 2.5-year-old spells it herself).

We haven't tried the AI feature yet, because waiting for the judges (on the previous game) takes too long. Though we do like to comment back at Simon about his mannerisms...it softens the blow of some of his "critiques!" !!!

We love the additional outfits and hairstyles too. The games take longer as my 4-year-old wants to change after every song, but that's part of the fun. The songs are easy to learn. The fun is endless. If you like home karaoke games, you cannot go wrong with this one!

I purchased this for my youngest daughter that is 9 for Christmas. I have to say that this game is awesome! My 14 year old jumped in there and is now the pro. They love it! Simon is still the ass just like he is on Tv. LOL Quite funny! Thumbs up

I can find myself losing several hours playing this game. It's a ton of fun.

If you want to just get in and sing, it lets you do that with a quick-play feature. If you want to do a full career game, it lets you do that too, and even gives you options on how many levels of the contest you want to have to get through, how long each song will last, etc., which I appreciate.

I also like all the unlockable content; there are past Idol videos, new songs, awards, new items for your avatar, new avatars, and it's not all for the same stuff -- for example, there are things you can unlock with XX number of platinum songs, but also ones for XX number of gold ones, doing a certain song and getting a platinum rating, and so on. You can view all the different achievements (though they don't tell you what you get for unlocking them, unless you achieve it).

I have the original, and this one, and I like the song choices on both; there's not very much (if any) overlap, so I have fun playing them both. There's no need to play number 1 before playing this one.

My girls are having a lot of fun with this game.
I would suggest to all ages for some fun.....

I have 3 Karaoke games for my Playstation 2. This is my second favorite. My first is Karaoke Revolution Volume 3. I prefer Karaoke Revolution Volume 3 due to the songs and also the menu system. I'd buy both games, you can never have enough songs to sing.

These Karaoke games are perfect for after parties.
