When the singing in Rock Band is just not enough.

I am an Avid Singer, I am ranked pretty high on rock band in vocals. In the top 200 overall and top 5 in a few songs. Needless to say I was very much looking forward to this game. I actually got a ps3 for the new sing star game coming out. Nuff said on that.
So here are the pro's of the game.
+it feels very much like you are in an American Idol atmosphere. I would never try out for the show cus well I would be scared to make a fool out of myself on TV. SO I can do it in the privacy of my own home and with a few friends.

+The Song Selection is a great START. If Konami and the maker of the game live up to the "100's of downloadable songs" I will say this game is going to be great.

+the sheer magnitude of options playable in this game are amazing. There
are many options for Solo and Multiplayer. The best part is that there is Multiplayer avail online for tournaments. IMHO one of the short falls of rock band is that Online play is just playing. There is no reward for getting a good group together. This game you can have tournaments and such online and there is rewards for doing well.

-I didn't need the mic in the game, I have 2 all ready. A non bundled version would have been nice to save some money.

-the mic is subpar. Its feels flimsy and I can tell the difference singing in it then the rock band mic. I am going to be one of those "Losers" that spends the 50 bucks on the Premium mic for the rock band when it comes out.

Bought this for our 10 year old who loves singing & loves American Idol.
She loves the judging and loves the game. The only downfall is that the song choices
aren't that great for her age, she didn't know any of them but trying them & practicing she now knows alot and loves it!!!!

This game is a ton of fun. Purchased it for myself because I love to sing but don't play xbox. I love it, so much fun to see what the judges will say next. Played it at a party and even the non-singers had a blast.

I got this game because I was trying to find a 360 game that she would like and this game accomplished that. Her and her friends love to play it. It has a pretty decent song selection and a good selection you can pay for on XBOX live. Basic and simple design allows inexperienced users to have a good time, especially if they like to sing.

This is a great game, the only problem is that you have to purchase microsoft points to buy more songs. The ones that are on there are great.

Primarily brought the game for the mic, as my Rockband mic was losing sensitivity. Mic. from this game so far has been excellent, the game itself is not as satisfying as the mic. Decent purchase.

Having already played the two previous Karaoke Revolution games for the oringal Xbox, this is a good and acceptable progression in the series. The comments from the American Idol cast adds a nice touch. Fans of the show will like it. The included songs are decent. I hope the downloadable content adds value to this game. Overall, if you like the Karaoke Revolution series you won't be dissapointed.

As one other reviewer mentioned, the bundeled mic is a bit cheap. But it works.

Gets boring after you've gone through all the songs. Maybe we can revive it after a couple of years.

My wife and I love karaoke, which we enjoyed often when we lived in Japan. However, here in the States karaoke is just not the same -- too public and just not as "cool."

"Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore BUNDLE" lets us enjoy singing our favorite songs at home; with the fun element of competing against one another -- and putting ourselves at the mercy of the judges: Randy, Paula and Simon. They are as tough on you in the game as they are in real life!

The feature I like best about this game is that in addition to the impressive library of included songs, you can also browse a huge library of songs available for purchase and download via Xbox Live. This is HUGE for me at least because chances are your favorite song(s) will be available online if they aren't included in the box.

Plus it comes with a USB microphone that works great.

Our friends have a blast when they visit, though I sometimes have to plug my ears when things get a bit out of hand.... :-)

This is a great product for Karaoke lovers. There are some great songs with varying levels of difficulty (some extremely difficult that seem it would take a professional to nail). The graphics and competition aspect are just okay--it's really all about being able to sing songs you love and get better at them.
