This game brings out the "performer" in everyone and brings back many memories with the songs to sing along with. We had the best fun at a company party and the competitive nature in people really came out with this game. It was lots of fun and created great memories.

I love this game. The only thing that I wish were different is the song choices. The majority of songs are for young adults and there are not that many to choose from. We still have a great time with it, especially when friends come over.

This is a fun game. I like to karaoke along with my friends so we have a good time with it. The different modes are neat, but its hilarious to get judged by Paula, Randy and Simon. The songs are too limited. Now I read that other versions you can download more songs but not with this one. I'd wait to buy a version that allows downloaded songs as you'll tire of this pretty quickly. But its fun to brag about being the American Idol for the night.

My children love this game. They get to compete in front of Simon, Paula, and Randy and they get a kick out of the comments they get. Even if you can't sing, you will have fun trying to sing.

The moment we got it we couldnt stop playing it. This is great for parties or with a group of friends but you will find yourself praticing when you are alone. Great song collection and easy to use. Of course eventually you will sing every song but it fun to see everyone else taking a try at it. Really like the "short" & "long" versions of the songs. Unlocked video are a cute addition. It was worth the buy!!!

This is a great game. It provides hours of fun for friends and family alike. I think the song list is much better than the first American Idol game. If you have 2 microphones you can battle with other players, or sing duets.

I have the first "Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol", so it would be a no-brainer to purchase the second one in the series! You have options of Quick Play (select any song and just sing), American Idol (of which you "audition" for the judges and "compete" against other computed simulated players to become the American Idol as a single player or by a multi-player contest against friends or family), duet with another player (that requires two microphones), Battle (by head-to-head with a single song, a league of 2-8 player competitive multiplayer tournament, or duet battles in a tournament), standard Karaoke as a Solo or Duet, options to modify your avatar/character's wardrobe, setup the sound to either sing along with the track or cut the vocals to sing by yourself, and extras that include video clips from the actual American Idol show and unlock hidden songs (like Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone", Beyonce's "Crazy In Love", Daughtry's "It's Not Over", Elliott Yamin's "Wait For You", and Paula Abdul's "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow") or extra characters. In order to unlock most of the extras, you have to complete different songs several times with either Platinum or Diamond status on harder levels. What I love about this game is that you can enjoy being serious into achieving high scores on singing your heart out to impress the judges or purposely sing terrible just to laugh and hear what Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell are going to say. This game scores players' singing ability a little bit easier than 2009's Karaoke Revolution on the Wii so you can feel slightly more confident on getting a better score. The only disappointment I have with the game is that they do not use the original tracks/artists so instead, you can't expect the songs to sound exactly like the originals, just slight cheap imitations like on those Party Tyme Karaoke CDs. Overall, "American Idol Encore 2" is a great game and there's a little something for everyone from songs ranging from Pop, R&B, Rock, Disco, Ballads, 80's, and Classics.

I bought this game as a Christmas gift for my husband and 8 year old daughter. We opened it up last night to play for the first time. The game ended up being much more fun for my husband and I than my 8 year old. We are in our early 30's and know the majority of the songs. Unfortunately my daughter only knows one of the songs and was very dissapointed that she wasn't really able to play. Drawbacks to the game; if you want to do a duet you need to purchase an extra microphone, (game comes with one, but the duet mode requires 2 mic's), we also have not found a way to download more songs. I was hoping this would be an option once I realized that my daughter wouldn't be able to play with the songs available. Overall the game was fun for my husband and I, and could see the fun of the game with older kids or other adults.

I must say I was very disappointed in this game. I am an AI fan and was so excited to play this. But, to my disappointment, I didn't know most of the songs that were on the game. Maybe 2 or 3 of them...which is not enough to get any enjoyment out of it. The WII version doesn't allow you to download your own songs so I was stuck. How many times can you sing 3 songs? It gets pretty boring! I am tradin this back in to Amazon today. I really lost out on this game.
