We just got this machine. It is great. We have brought another brand of karaoke machine earlier and returned it because of poor quality. We can balance the sound between the artist and the home performer easily. The only poor thing is that the instruction didn't tell us how to focus the video. You can focus the video camera directly by turning the len. If you don't know that then you may think the camera doesn't work. My children decided that this is alot more fun than watching TV, and I think that is great.

We purchased this and found the volume to be limited. We could
hear people singing, but not through the speakers. The video was only fair. We are replacing it with a CRAIG (available at TRU) that has 30 watts, and has more the volume and sound quality that we were expecting in the 100 dollar price range.

We bought this item for our children for christmas and we love it. We, the parents, the night before christmas when the children were asleep decided to try out this toy. We sang most of the night into the morning. We did notice the on screen video of us on the tv was a little grainy until we used our big flashlight, a super sport spot by vector. Once we used that light, the machine took awesome video. Of course this flash light was handled only by adults, you'll have to read the instructions to find out how old a child has to be to use this flashlight. We had fun and the kids had fun, hours of fun. It does look like this machine has to be handled carefully, fragile. This toy is definitely worth the money.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she just loves it. She loves to have friends over and make videos. And they also pretend to interview each other. Too much Fun!!!!

The only reason I bought this was because my 7 yr old daughter just loves performing. The combination audio/video was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately the quality of this product doesn't even rank average. As everyone else has mentioned the sound is awful. If you want video that makes you look like you're hanging out in a colorful snowfall then this is your machine. However if you're looking for the misleading crystal clear picture that is presented on the packaging, forget it. I even called the manufacturer about it. They told me that they've had complaints about it and yes the picture won't be clear. Yes it really doesn't look like the image on the box but there's a new machine in the works! Oh joy... I'm sure I'll take a chance on that one! Unfortunately my 7 yr old doesn't care about the quality of the picture and begged me not to return it. I know I won't be purchasing anything from this company again. I feel very misled and deceived. I'm stuck with this expensive white elephant.

Bought this item for Christmas. We had lots of fun until the camera burned out. I like the fact that this little machine comes in a complete package--you get a camera to see yourself act like a fool on tv, music to sing with, and lyrics to read from the screen. I also saw it as an educational tool for my daughter because certain tracks required she speed read while singing. Overall I enjoyed this machine, but I was very disappointed when the camera burned out the very first day we opened the package. I would like the same machine as a replacement, but I am skeptical since when I returned this item to the store, I found out someone else had the same problem.

Bought this item for my kids last Christmas. Was great while it lasted. Used it for about 4 months, weekends only. One day while using (it was only on for 30 minutes) something smelled like it was burning! The machine was HOT! Unplugged it & left it alone for about 2 weeks. Plugged it in again, didnt even turn it on, the smell came back & machine began to heat up! Can't use it any more..... ... I give it 2 thumbs DOWN!

In the search for a great gift for our kids we have brought home and tried out several machines with video camera. It is very cool to have the video. While this machine has some advantages, like the relatively small size and fairly good video, the sound problem outweighs them. The microphone volume is not good at all. No matter how high we turned the microphone in relation to the music we could not hear the singer without putting our ear right up to the speaker. This was true even after hooking to TV and stereo. What fun is karaoke if you can't hear yourself sing??????? We ended up with the larger, but better quality Memorex.

We gave this to our nine year old daughter and she loves it. Yes, you don't hear much of her voice coming from the speakers, but in our case that's a good thing. She can hear it fairly well since the microphone cord is only about eight feet long. The built in camera is a lot of fun and although we had some trouble with it, we found that it was just our error concerning the channel on the TV. Hard to say just how durable this toy is since we've only had it a week; hopefully we have a good one compared to what other reviewers experienced.

I should have listened to the advice from [other customers]. You really can't hear your voice thru the speakers. What's the point of a Karaoke if you can't hear your voice. It's just an expensive CD player. This is going back!! What a ... disappointment.
