I bought these for my fiance' to match her platinum rings.

Karat Platinum is 58.5% platinum. I've learned PLAT950 or PLAT is generally 95% platinum. PLATIRID is 90% Platinum (10% Iridium). (Apparently 14K gold is 58% gold and 18K gold is 75% gold).

There seems to be some controversy over Karat platinum as it is not officially recognized by some jewelry metal groups. But it is a lot cheaper.

These are much lighter than I thought they would be. With other Platinum jewelry we have they seem much heavier than expected. These earrings are very light and I expected them to be heavier. I'm not sure if this is how Karat Platinum is or if they were just hollowed out but this may be a concern for some.

My fiance does like how they clip on. Apparently some hoop earrings are difficult to put on, these are easy and they snap onto the "hook".

Overall, I'm not disappointed with this purchase but not overly excited. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could but not quite 4.

Locally it was hard to find a jewerly store that carries these. I was able to place the order and have them in very short order. This was a very easy transaction.

Nice for the price. A little lighter in weight than I was expecting - but nice.

Many people told me they are pretty. Very light, and just right size for everyday wearing.

I ordered these earrings last night (after missing the lighting deal) and received them on my front porch this morning! Amazon outdid themselves on that one! The earrings are beautiful, sturdy quality and the perfect size! They were packaged in a small draw string pouch inside of a box with jewelry care instructions. I couldn't have asked for anything better!!
