4.0 out of 5 stars Karcher Work Horse
I gave this Karcher four star instead of five because I actually purchased the model K 3.68 from a local Lowes for less money and it provides eighteen hundred pounds of pressure. That extra fifty for less money is a no brainer. It deep cleaned all the concrete around the house including a very filthy driveway. The Karcher replaces a failed Campbell Hausfeld that no...

1.0 out of 5 stars Consistently failed three times, what a waste of plastic!
After owning one Karcher for a little over a year, the pump base cracked and lost pressure. This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
After owning one Karcher for a little over a year, the pump base cracked and lost pressure. I use pressure washers about twice a week, for no more than twenty minute periods with intervals of about 20 seconds on, 20-30 seconds off. We had banged it around a little and figured it had barely served its time. I figured it was a fluke, so I bought another Karcher. I baaabied this one. It may have lasted a month, I'm not sure, but it certainly failed in the exact same fashion as before, cracked lower pump housing. Exact same spot too, hmmm poor engineering???

So I sent the piece of crap back to Karcher, who slowly replaced it with a refurbished unit. But wait, another surprise inside the box. A disclaimer stating that this refurbished unit satisfies my original warranty and this replacement carries NO WARRANTY whatsoever. How can I make this poor pressure washer last more than a month? I build a rack and hang the washer on the wall, no stress on the little measly plastic wheels that never rolled out of the box. That's okay, wheels, your rolling days are over. Here, I have built you a throne.

The thing broke after three uses. Guess where. Yep, lower pump plastic outlet. There is absolutely no way this thing was abused or overused. Absolutely no stress on inlet or outlet hoses or fittings. Karcher, I loathe thee.

The Karcher replaces a failed Campbell Hausfeld that no replacement parts are available for. The Karcher out performs anything in it's price range. Look for the Karcher #K3.68M at Lowes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mechanical Robustness, October 14, 2008
This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
I've had a consumer grade Karcher electric pressure washer for a number of years, and the one listed here is no different. It has served me faithfully for many years until yesterday, when I stepped on the input garden hose just in front of its input hose bib - crack!! (*&#$*&(*&#$

Its input hose bib was plastic (polycarbonate?) and not strain relieved!!!

I dissassebled the plastic case (deeply recessed torx screws!! - no problem) and discovered that the plastic hose bib is integrated into the cylinder head and was non-replaceable.

Karcher's web site has no useful consumer information re: non-waranty repairs or parts. Only non-waranty repairs are for pro-grade gas washers (which have nice brass hose bibs by the way). No parts list available for my model and discontinued.

I ended up encasing the cracked hose bib with epoxy putty. Sealing the margins with RTV silicone, then conpressing the RTV with adhesive conpression tape, so maybe I can finish my deck project before having to buy a new washer.

What I find disheartening is here you have a moderately expensive piece of equipment, ~$200, with moderately expensive components (electric motor, precision machined pistons, check valves, GFI switch, etc.) and it's completely destroyable by a non-replaceable, non-strain relieved, externally exposed, cheap plastic hose bib! They could have put in a brass one, or mechanically supported the plastic one, or even mechanically decoupled the whole thing by a short flexible section of hose!

1.0 out of 5 stars Junk - Bad Service, October 7, 2009

Got this pressure washer last year, I had noticed that the pressure did not seem very strong as it could hardly clean my concrete patio. I called customer service, took a bunch of phone calls before they would even consider the "Easy Replacement" (and there is like a 5 minute of telephone prompts to get through to talk to a person...) Finally they agreed to replace it, I mailed back the cord and Serial # sticker as they suggested - the person I talked to when I was told I was accepted to get a new one, said 7 to 10 days from recieving my info they would ship me a new one. So after 10 days, I called them to ask what happened to my pressure washer, they claimed to never had gotten the shippment from FEDEX, but I had a confirmation of delivery and the name of the person that signed for it, suddenly it was found.

Arrived about 1 week after that phone call.

Easy replacement - what a joke. (Took 8 to 10 phone calls for easy replacement)

FYI: This is the 2nd one I paid for in the last 2 years. I hope this one breaks before Year #2, as I am going to ask American Express to refund my money and buy a good one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Karsher Pressure Washer, December 2, 2007
This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
Pretty good pressure and very handy for cleaning house and cars. Lack of cable holder makes it difficult to carry around a house. Also, it may be difficult to plug in covered outside outlets due to shape of electric plug.Karcher 1,750 PSI 120-Volt Electric Pressure Washer #K 3.67 M

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money, May 26, 2011
This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
I wash my deck once a yr. I've had this for 2 yrs, and a plastic piece cracked. I had the K3.79M model. Wand started leaking from the handle. Finding a replacement elbow was next to impossible. Its out of warranty. I could have bought a replacement wand for about $50, but decided not to waste my money on any Karcher parts. Too many negative reviews about their customer service and poor parts quality.

This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
Wow! I bought this to replace one from Heartland. That one worked as promised, but wasn't nearly the unit that this Karcher is. The pressure and flow specs, and the price, of the Karcher from Amazon were all about 50% higher than the Hearltand unit. But the comparisons stop there. The Karcher is built infinitely better, made to last. The Amazon and manufacturers ads we insufficient with thier descriptions. The gun has three attachments. One is a car-wash brush, the other two are spray nozzles. I did not know that one of the spray nozzles was a spinner! It used to take 4 days to do my fathers house with the old one. The Karcher cut that to a day-and-a-half! That's about a 70% decrease in the time required, for only 50% more in investment.

I also did a 46-ft 5th wheel in Oregon 2 years ago with the old unit and a lot of scrubbing. Everything molds on the Oregon coast. That job used to be a 3-day backbreaking event. I did it in two days now. The first day was 3 hours, the second day day was 6 hours. Plus, it took off mold that I wasn't even able to scrub off 2 years ago.

Am I happy with this Karcher? Without a doubt, best investment I've made in years.

2.0 out of 5 stars BUYER BE AWARE, November 17, 2010
This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
I'm bothering to write this as i found the reviews of others helpful. I own a Karcher residential electric model. As said: when they work they are great, BUT you simply are not going to get over 1500 psi for $200-300 from any model, any manufacturer. We use this machine occasionally and based on our experience if you own one, you are going to have to fix it regularly. There is a wealth of sites that sell parts for these things, and offer excellent advice. The incredible availability of parts tells you something. If you have the patience and ability to make the repairs (these machines fairly well designed for this) and don't want to spend close to $1k for a power washer these machines will "work" for you. They are like espresso machines- you are not going to get trouble free operation with high pressure and plastic parts for under $1k. Good luck, you have been warned.

1.0 out of 5 stars JUNK Beware, August 17, 2010
This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased one of these, used it about 5 times within a year. Then the hose connections broke, plastic crack or something. Out of warranty, bought another, the hose unit broke, took it apart, same thing broken, cracked plastic.

Bottom line is there is some decent pressure that comes out of these when they work, but its that same pressure that breaks the cheap plastic parts that much of the thing is made of. Getting some parts is possible, like a whole new wand, but its funny how it cost more than 50% of the total cost of a new one. So you have to say, just buy a replacement part or a whole new one, knowing how cheap they are made.

I am a casual user of a pressure washer, but I will not be buying a third one of these. Yes they are relatively inexpensive, but if you have to buy a new one every few months to a year, what do you have after 3 years?

1.0 out of 5 stars If you want an expesive yellow door stop buy a Karcher, July 26, 2010
This review is from: Karcher K 3.67 M 1,750 PSI 1.5 GPM Electric Pressure Washer With 25-Foot Hose (Lawn & Patio)
First off the product is trash on a good day and dangerous on a bad. I had a K3.79 (the unit this replaces) for less than a year and less than 10 hours of use that failed. In fact the failure mode was that the unit would not turn off. That's right gents the ON/OFF switch when place in the OFF position did not work the unit stayed powered up! Oh but it gets better! The pump dead headed. That means it kept running and running and did not build pressure. So combine this with having to unplug it to turn it off.... well let's just say I could have had an electrifying experience..... you know water, live outlet that kind of thing. Now the customer services they provided, well it sucked wind too. After long hours of fighting with them I git this unit under warranty. It died on day one... But because of the age of the other unit I am not covered with a warranty on this one. So I would suggest buying something else. This is a junk product. Junk customer service.
