1.0 out of 5 stars Quality is poor, September 18, 2003

This review is from: Karcher EW66 4-Piece Extension Wand (Lawn & Patio)
The concept of this extension is fine, however the quality of construction is horrible! Very flimsy when using all 4 sections. Once put together, very difficult to breakdown (less than 4 sections). Utilizing plastic stem and aluminum receptor was poor design, the threads stripped (cross threaded) after trying to reconnect. Had to force it together with a pipe wrench and now is permanent and can no longer use it with less than 4 sections.
Would not recommend buying!

1.0 out of 5 stars Clumsy and not very sturdy, July 13, 2003

The extension peices are very clumsy to work with close in, but not sturdy enough to use at full length. I use only two of the four peices and it is OK (but then I am 6' 3) for close in work like cleaning the driveway (I don't have to lean over now), but putting all four peices on and using it at a distance (like it is designed to be used) just doesn't work well.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok, November 15, 2005

I use it to wash the house and reach the upper story. Yes it isn't industrial strength and it does takes some oomph to put it together and take it apart. But I've used it several times over the last several years and it has lasted and worked fine. It allows me to avoid using anything but a step ladder to clean the siding and windows. If you are careful and not prone to using each and every section, I typically leave it assembled when using and storing, it should be fine. I use an 8' step ladder and do the lower story without the extention and the upper story with.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy solution to threading problems, July 8, 2005
This review is from: Karcher EW66 4-Piece Extension Wand (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this and have had no problems although I only use two sections. To make it easier when threading plastic parts together I always use silicon spray on both pieces and find that they go together easily. They also come apart easily as I just went in the garage and took apart this extension wand after it's been together three + years. I also spray the undercarriage of lawnmower before using (cleans in a snap), as well the blades and impeller on the snowblower (never clogs even with wet snow) and spray the spark plug wires. Acts as a sealant from moisture. Works well on rubber hoses and seals to make them last longer. Quick connects + the o-rings are a must. Lasts all summer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Help line not knowledgeable enough, March 17, 2006
This review is from: Karcher EW66 4-Piece Extension Wand (Lawn & Patio)
No directions with wand. Did not know that sleeve had threads. It was to tight to loosen. Called help line and they did not understand about the sleeve either. While talking to them I was able to loosen. Help line needs more understanding of all their products. Do like product though. Rating is lower because of help line.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hi/Lo pressure wand, October 23, 2003

I have had to buy several hi/lo pressure wands from local suppliers, they just don't last.
I do not see them listed seperately here, I need another but don't want to buy a set of them and throw money away.
I am very unhappy with this product.
Can or will you supply only what I need?
