The only major function that requires the remote that I wish didn't is switching between inputs.
In fact, I feel like the two systems sound similar, with the GO + Play II being a little boomier and less clear in the lower frequencies.
Pros: Setup is simple/easy, looks incredible, sounds incredible and a plethora of inputs from which to choose.

Good sound but bass not so deep.No Optical output.
Front panel not touchable.
