5.0 out of 5 stars Great At Home Body Sculpting System!
Excellent and complete, this system comes with everything you need to exercise your way to a firmer healthier you! I love the green genie balls, they are easy to hold and grip, and so versatile. 3.0 out of 5 stars If you stick with it, it will bring results
This workout system is not bad if you pay 25-30$ for it. It's not worth $99. Yoga mat is just regular yoga mat. Gennie balls are cool, 3 pounds each. You can do your own exercise with them. Two DVD are not of the highest quality, can't FF or RW. There are two exercise on one of the DVD's, one for PM one for AM. AM is energizing, and PM is relaxing. Exercise on the...

Karen Voight's DVDs are great. I was intimidated by her muscle bound body at first, but her exercises are fun, easy & heart pumping for both the beginner and for the advanced. My 5 year old daughter was able to keep up with alot of it, but did run out of steam about 15 minutes into the DVD. I enjoyed it because I haven't exercised for awhile, and she has 2 DVDs that give you the choice of what kind of workout you feel like doing that day. I highly recommend this system, because it is an easy system to set up and store in your home. Unlike an exercise bike,it doesn't take up alot of space, and if you want to deflate the ball for storage, she gives you a hand pump to inflate it for the next time(although this is a workout in itself. It takes about 15 min to fully inflate the ball). Overall though, this a good system for the price.

In a nutshell, if you want to loose weight and don't want to spend time in a gym, this system could help you loose unwanted pounds.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality!, May 27, 2006

After purchasing from a few different companies, Karen Voight is definitely one of the best qualitied ones out there.

In terms of the ball, I like the TEXTURE of the TKO Cory Everson Fitness Ball a lot more than this one, though the KV ball is far from being low quality. I do have to agree with the previous review(s) that it is pretty sticky and hard to clean.

I love the green genies. It looks better out of the box than on the picture, which is rare for pretty much anything. They are a lot better quality than my last purchase, the Nautilus 2 pound balls (the KV balls are 3 pounds each) and these are a lot more solidly built. They look very good, too.

The mat is of good quality. Not the top of the line, but definitely worth the money you pay for.

I'd have to disagree with a previous review about the "flimsy" pump that came with it. My last few purchases came with even more flimsy pumps, so I considered this a great pump. It doesn't get heat up so much while inflating the ball, and it took less than 30 minutes at a not-so-fast rate to inflate the ball. The pump is very well-designed, in my opinion.

I'd not pay more than $25 dollars for it (total, with shipping and tax, etc) though. In fact, I'd not pay over $20 for it, idealy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, fun workout!, January 3, 2006
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
My husband bought me this for christmas this year, after I showed him it was on sale. LOL I must say that pumping the ball full of air was a work-out in and of itself! Today I tried the B*L*T DVD, and did the complete workout. It was great! Easy, fun.. it barely seemed like a workout! I am not highly motivated when it comes to exercising, and my 2 kids don't give me a lot of time to do it anyway. But I think this is something I could learn to make time for!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Fitness Toys to beat boredom!, January 1, 2006
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
I got this kit for Christmas. At first I was T-Od because I have turned by back weights on now only do Yoga and Pilates and I didn't want the green genies, but I really love the ball. I love to roll around on it and stretch out my back. Also, the Streamline fitness workout is really good- it is tough but fast and effective. So, I have added this workout to my repetoire(it uses the genies) for something different. The BLT workout isn't hard at all, but it is really short so it would be something cool to do when you don't want a hard workout but do feel like moving a little. The yoga mat is really good quality, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Workout tools for home and travel in one package, September 19, 2006
By
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
In brief, all the elements of this package deal are good: solid videos with enough challenge you don't get bored too fast, a high quality yoga-style workout mat, and great little & large workout balls. I particularly like the small green balls: they are easy to control and grip but add substantial weight and interest to the workouts. They are two very nice bits of equipment, unlike others I've found.
I love traveling with the inflatable big ball. The pump is lightweight but hasn't given me any problems. Yes, the ball takes a bit of time to inflate, but I think of it as a warm-up. It flattens nicely in a suitcase, and is sturdy enough rubber that it can handle repeated inflation, deflation, and suitcase crushing. Maybe it's the child in us all, but there's a reason workout balls are popular: they're fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars great for the price, March 31, 2006
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
i am pleased with the equipment that came with this. a yoga mat, 2 green genies, and the ball/pump seem like a bargain for $30 and free shipping. the dvd's are okay. for me, i found the AM to be very complicated and i had a hard time keeping up with all of her moves and combinations. it is pretty fast paced and i found it hard to follow. i watched it all the way through before i tried it, and i will have to try a few more times to see if i can get the hang of it. the PM was easier to follow and my abs were sore the next day. i just tried the BLT and found a lot of the moves to be intense if i could keep up, but was short and will likely be a workout that i use to start the day and target these areas. overall, i did like karen voight. she is in incredible shape and is very straightforward in her delivery. i had been working out regularly before i bought this, but was looking for ways to add to the program. she has a lot of dvd choices so there is something for everyone if you enjoy her style. i also use and recommend gunnar peterson and joyce vedral. again, for the equipment alone i found it to be a great deal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great deal (When on sale)!, September 26, 2007
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
I purchased this kit when it was on sale. Judging from my RSS feed of the "Deal of the Day" it is a regular feature in that promotion. I purchased it for about $30, though apparently it's gone as low as $20 in the past. $30 is roughly what you'd spend for a stability ball and a mat on their own. With the two DVDs and the "Green Genies" that makes it a very good deal.

I purchased the kit so I could have an extra ball and mat to keep at the home of my parents, whom I visit frequently. My mother has now commandeered the mat and the stability ball. (I took the Genies and the DVDs with me.)

The mat and the ball are of very good quality. Comparable to anything that you would get "a la carte" from other brands. The hand pump that comes with the kit does it's job just fine. The only thing I didn't like was that the kit didn't come with any sort of tool to make removing the plug from the ball easier for when I want to add more air. (My first stability ball was a Rebok Stayball which did come with such a tool, so I suppose I'm spoiled.) In regards to the mat, like all foam yoga mats, you will slip a bit at first but as you "break it in" it will give you a good comfortable foundation for your feet, knees, and hands.

The "Green Genies" are sand filled, squishable, spheres. They are used as hand weights and in a number of other (rather ingenious) ways to provide a little extra "oomph" for certain exercises after you've been doing them for a while.

The kit has two DVDs and a "poster" that illustrates how to use the equipment. I really liked the DVDs but I wouldn't exactly say they are for beginners. The exercises flow pretty intuitively into each other and she explains everything clearly. I'm not exactly a beginner, but I'm not in anything that resembles in shape either. I'm confident that a true beginner can use these DVDs right out of the box, but (to be honest) they need to be ready to work. This woman is serious, friendly serious not like militant serious, but this isn't "Sweating To The Oldies". Something like that is about getting up and moving, getting your heart pumping and losing weight. These DVDs are about that and toning your body, improving flexibility, and strength.

4.0 out of 5 stars For the price, this is one of the best, April 8, 2006
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
In an attempt to increase my degree of physical fitness, I am slowly building a collection of minor workout tools and DVDs. When I discovered this set, at an incredible price, on Amazon, I simply couldn't turn it down! This set includes a full-size yoga mat, a 65cm stability ball, two 3 lb weight balls, two DVD workouts and two "workout booklets," and while the entire set didn't thrill me when it arrived, it has enough saving features for me to recommend it to you. Let's start with the bad stuff: 1) the stability ball takes a good hour to inflate using the flimsy pump that is included and it takes less time than that for it to slowly start deflating, which is obviously frustrating 2) the stability ball is incredibly sticky, even beyond numerous scrubbings with various cleaning agents 3) the DVDs don't allow you to skip chapters which is disappointing, as I sometimes like to focus on a short workout due to time limitations, and 4) the workout booklets are simply two large, foldout posters. Now on to the good stuff: 1) the yoga mat makes a great replacement for my previous, more expensive mat that seemed to collect oodles of dirt 2) the weighted ball are wonderful and will add a whole new dimension to your upper body workout and 3) even though the booklets contain minimal information, they provided ample information to begin working out with both the stability ball and the weight balls. In short, this is a great starter set, but I would certainly recommend supplementing it with additional workout videos such as Denise Austin: Shrink Your Femal Fat Zones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent addition to my home gym, May 2, 2006
This review is from: Karen Voight Body Sculpting System (Sports)
This set has been the best addition to my home training system. The streamline fitness (am/pm) video is excellent and the green genies are great for woman! The set includes so much for the great price--and all the items are excellent quality and useful. The BLT video is great and all the equipment you need comes with the set. I'm really glad I bought this and have since purchased more of Karen's videos, which are all outstanding.
