Here's an excellent and representative collection of Karl Jenkins' best compositions and arrangements. Buy this one first if you're still not sure you want to invest in a half-dozen Adiemus-type recordings. I predict that, if you listen to this one, you'll want more.

This CD is an excellent addition to anybody's musical collection. It reflects the popular famous music from TV commercials as well as other music not as well known, but equally as entertaining. All the music reflects Jenkins' ability to vary his style of music.
I have listened to this music many times.

I first heard this on "So you Think You Can Dance" They were playing Requiem: Dies Irae which when I first heard it could not believe how powerful it was. I was lucky because they always show the title of the music at the beginning. I saw that it was Karl Jenkins and went to I- tunes and saw all of the music that he had and started listening to samples and got hooked. This particular album was an example of a great master at work. Listen to Sanctus and Palladio (1st Movement). Can you guess where you have heard Palladio. (hint: very rich) You will love both tracks. Also check out You-Tube under Karl Jenkins to see what he has. I bet you will buy his albums.

The album is a mix of Jenkins three big works, Adeimus, the Armed man and requiem. In my opinion the mix takes away the overall impression of the single works. I'm not a big fan of Adeimus but the other two are great in my opinion, but in this mix you lose the story and the feeling you get from listening to the whole single piece.

Love this album. Very peaceful. Good bedtime or anytimes you want relaxing music. Love the way Jenkins blends his piano stylings with the other insturments in these classical melodies.

I saw a video on You Tube about the man who flew over the
Grand Canyon with a small jet engine attached to his back.
The background music was Karl Jenkin's Andiemus and I loved it.
I bought three of his CD's and I love them all. Great
music for my CD player in my car!

The CD arrived very fast and in mint condition.
The music is relaxing and beautiful.
Definitely recommend it.

Purchased a cd Jenkins & Adiemus. Never heard of Karl Jenkins so didn't quite know what to expect. It is wonderful = so good I keep it in my car and have played it every day as I drive to work.

Anyone who enjoys Karl Jenkins would welcome this CD in their collection. It gives a broad overview of the composer's work and contains some of his most rousing works as well as some very familiar pieces. Persons who are not acquainted with his work will find it to be a compelling reason to explore more. Definitely a must for persons interested in contemporary composers.

I can't believe I've only now discovered Karl Jenkins. All these wasted years that I could've been listening to this incredible music. Suffice to say that I'm now in the process of collecting all of his recordings. I stand in awe and admiration of his mastery of melody, harmony and use of the human voice. The Essential Collection is an excellent first purchase to get a general overview of all the facets of his work.
