These cards are truly amazing!,
This review is from: Karma Cards: A New Age Guide to Your Future Through Astrology (Paperback)
I bought these cards actually on a recommendation from another reviewer named RoseWillow from Florida. I haven't read all the book yet but she is very correct to say these cards are excellent for tarot reading clarifications. They are also fun used alone also. And totally dead on. You can use these cards first then do a tarot reading and still get the clarification of both tools. One card i pulled for my daughter said Do or Die! In other words she needed to get moving on things and take action about 10 minutes later she was looking at a new deck of tarot cards i bought and pulled a card which was the Death card! It was amazing that both tools work so well interchangeably. She is like well thanks alot and I am like its the oracles they are trying to tell you get off your behind before your opportunities pass you by. It was goose bump time for both of us. I recommend these cards strongly for anyone interested in a different form of cards and also to those that read the tarot alot they will help your readings. Thanks Deb in Ca.

Karma Cards - Great Tool for Learning Astrology,
This review is from: Karma Cards: A New Age Guide to Your Future Through Astrology (Paperback)
I teach astrology (for more than 30 years)and I have found the Karma Cards to be a marvelous tool for learning astrology. From the beginner to the advanced astrologer this is one of the coolest set of divination tools that I have seen in years. The book itself is an excellent explanation of the planets, signs and houses. The cards can be used to do a very accurate reading or as flash cards in learning the central concepts of atrology. I would unequivocally recommend these cards to anyone who wanted to learn more about astrology or who just wanted to have fun with a visually beautiful set of cards.

If you want to learn astrology, this is your book.,

You will not believe how simple it is to use the Karma Cards, yet how powerful they are as a predictive tool and as a way for you to learn astrology while you are having fun. They will be giving you useful information just as soon as you open them up and as you use them more and more and work with the accompanying book, you will actually learn astrology, not the stuff in the newspapers, but the real thing. Farber's explanation of the Houses of a horoscope is the best one I've read and after reading it, I remembered it completely! Buy it, you won't be sorry.

Karma Cards - The do-it-yourself fortune tellers.,

This review is from: Karma Cards: A New Age Guide to Your Future Through Astrology (Paperback)
With 36 cards and detailed instructions, I give this book a 9. You don't have to read 800,000 pages like with other "cards", but rather just 1 or 2. They're very fun, simple, and they entertain!

Wonderful cards, BUT....,

Wonderfully useful cards, lovely design, and so forth. Very potant when used as a clarification to a Tarot reading. I once read a friend of mine a Celtic Cross spread and though I'm rather good at Tarot, he wanted clarification...so I pulled these out and they really helped him, and they help me a whole bunch as well. The art is simply beautiful. Well done:)Here comes the "However". HOWEVER. I wasn't quite as fond of the book, passed whatever page it was that taught you how to use the cards themselves. Sorry dude, you came off as a bit Ego-centric. No offense! I'm not wonderfully adept at Astrology and would love to learn. Perhaps I'll give the last chapter another try. Excellent Learning Tool!,

Having taught astrology for the last 10 years, I have found the Karma Cards to be an excellent teaching and learning tool which promotes a deeper understanding of the Science of Astrology. This oracle remains one of the most user-friendly decks I have ever owned, giving direct and practical advice to the querent pertaining to immediate action and/or outcome of any given situation. This oracle can help the querent specifically look at several proposed plans of action and their subsequent outcome before choosing which will be most to their liking. Lastly, the art images are a stunning representation of traditional astrological imagery. An excellent addition to any collector, novice, or wisdom seeker.

Astrology made accessable and fun!,

This review is from: Karma Cards (Paperback)
These cards are fun! Karma Cards are divided into three categories: Planets, signs and houses. They are beautifully illlustrated and come in a nice storage box. I enjoyed reading the guide book which explains how to use the cards and gives information on meanings. For example, in the planets section, it describes the symbol for the planet, what it represents and has Keywords, the planet's message, and warning. The really nice thing is that you don't have to be an expert in astrology to use these cards!
Here's what you do: Divide the cards into the three categories (planets, signs, houses)then shuffle each stack and turn them over and read the sentence that is formed by the words on each card. The cards can be used to determine 'outcome' or 'action'. Blue side is for outcome and red/orange is for action. There are 3 levels of answer that you can obtain, they are: Spiritual, Mental and Physical. These are great cards. Fun and informative and really easy to use!

Innovative Oracle Deck Using the Planets, Signs and Houses of Astrology,
This review is from: Karma Cards (Paperback)
"As The Celestial Mechanic, I devised a way to combine the wisdom of Astrology with a quick and easy technique for putting us in touch with our Higher Selves, and the result was Karma Cards." - From the companion book
With his characteristic Aquarian inventiveness, author Monte Farber marries the ancient art of Astrology with the accessibility of an oracle deck in Karma Cards. Designed so anyone can use them quickly and easily, Karma Cards are an unusual blend of oracle phrases with the Planets, Signs, and Houses of Astrology--36 cards in all. Whether you seek to an answer an action question such as "What should I do about this job offer?" or an outcome question such as "What will be the outcome of this date?" Karma Cards are designed to answer both types of questions with clarity and accuracy. These reversible cards feature three words or phrases in blue to answer outcome-based questions with three words/phrases in red to answer action-oriented queries. In addition, the six words/phrases on each card is divided in three realms: spiritual, mental and physical. Truly, Karma Cards covers all the bases! Here's an example: let's say I want to inquire about a book I'm writing. I'd separate the Karma Cards into three decks: Planets, Houses, and Signs, shuffle and draw a card from each pile. (What's great about this deck is that the card backings display the category.) So say I drew Saturn in Aquarius in the 7th House. I'd look at the blue section on each card, read the three sentences generated by the cards, and determine which sentence best applied to the situation according to my intuitive impression. The Spiritual advice says "The maturity that brings genius to experiment with balance". The Mental advice says "Caution regarding the discoveries of cooperation". And lastly, the Physical advice says "Limits imposed resulting from the eccentricity of your partners." Personally, I find it helpful to play around with both the red and blue sections because, in this case, I found the RED advice much more clear and appropriate. You could always experiment with Karma Cards to see which methods work best for you. Along with the highly original construction of this particular oracle deck, I am also impressed with the 96-page guidebook to Karma Cards. The companion book is so rich with detailed yet practical information that those new to Astrology would get a solid introduction to this art just by reading it! Monte explains the nuts and bolts of an astrological chart, including house polarities, as well as the nature of each sign and planet--including the North and South Nodes. If you had your astrological chart, you could get a good interpretation of the placements just by reading the card combinations and companion book. For example, looking at the chart of both my husband and son, I recognize that they both have their Moon in the 7th House. However, my son's Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius while my husband's Moon is in Aquarius. To get some insight into those placements, I'd remove the Moon and 7th House cards from the deck, as well as the Aquarius and Sagittarius cards. Put them in a row, read what they say, and ouila!--I now have an overview of these particular placements. If you're fascinated by Astrology or would like to know more, Karma Cards would make a great introduction to this art! If you love quick, easy, and clear divination tools, this deck makes a GREAT oracle. I've used it several times and found it be very accurate and highly insightful!
