This is an interesting story of a haunted house with the twist that the family being haunted are all gifted psychics. At times the story went off on tangents with long narratives of backstory. I prefer a more controlled narrative, but the families and the dysfunction of being physics outweighed any criticism I had.
I would love to see this book turned into a mini series like American Horror Story.

I like psychic, haunting and paranormal stories like this. I was impressed that this was the authors' first novel as it was well written and the storyline kept me interested. I thought some "background" type information could have been cut out but, that said, I think it was a really good read and I will read other work by this author.

Extremely well-written. The story was completely riveting. It flowed. The characters are three-dimensional. Karma House definitely delivered in that I was pulled further into the story (and cared about the characters) with every creepy twist and every horrifying situation that the Harts encountered. Ellison's knowledge of reincarnation, mediumship, and the Other Side is complete and well-researched.
