Bitter sweet lave, April 22, 2008
This review is from: Kashimashi, Vol. 5 (Paperback)
I have just completed the entire Kashimashi series and I am near a loss for words. Reading this last book in this oft sweet and funny tale of girls growing up and learning what true love is I found myself having to set it aside for a moment while I gathered myself. Never have I read a book, save the Bible, that touched mei as deeply as Kashimashi and its story of Hazumu Kun the young boy turned into a girl.
Mei hands where shaking, eyes filled with tears, and I had to force mei self to turn the pages as I got closer and closer to the end. Over the 5 book series I to had fallen in love. In love with the girls and their stories sure, but also the over whelming feeling of freshness and wonder at what it is to truly love another person, and I just did not want it to end. (tears)
This is a mark of a truly great story one that will keep with the reader long after the last page is turned and the feelings and memories begin to fade like a dream or childhood memory. But in the case of Kashimashi you can revisit Hazumu and her friends any time you like and I know I will be reading the series again, very soon. (I read the 1st book in the series 3 times in just 2 days) ^_^
If you even remotely enjoy stories of love, friendship and the lives they touch and shape this series is for you. Pick it up and you will fall in love, this is a promise from mei. Goodbye Hazumu Kun, Yasuna Chan and the lovely little Tormari Chan, until next time, hugs (whips away a tear), goodbye.

Amazing and Touching..., September 23, 2008
This review is from: Kashimashi, Vol. 5 (Paperback)
I was blown away by this series. It absolutely touched me. Every character is very lovable and you will not be disappointed. Oh, and I'm a guy and I usually like shows like Bleach, Gurren Lagann and Naruto, but I loved this. I mean its not just a normal romance about a boy and a girl, but one about two girls. To be honest, I was in it for the girls kissing a stuff, but when I finished it, I didnt even care about that stuff. It was that good, and very cute.
