We got our start about 15 years ago when an Alaskan fisherman and a well-known local artist/designer got together and decided that there needed to be a company that could produce superior-quality smoked salmon in an attractive gift box. Thus, Kasilof Fish Company was born.
We take our name from the town of Kasilof, a small fishing village on Alaska's Kenai Penisula in South Central Alaska, where glacier-fed waters are known for producing some of the world's most sought-after salmon. Kasilof Fish Company has a long history of using the best salmon from this region for all our smoked salmon products.
After the salmon makes its way to our smokehouse, we then use the centuries-old curing and smoking methods of the Great Pacific Northwest to produce the very finest smoked salmon (and other smoked seafoods) possible. Every salmon is painstakingly hand-filleted, cured with just the right amount of brine, and smoked with pure alder wood until the moment our smokemaster deems the salmon ready. We go to great lengths to provide you with the perfect blend of flavor and freshness in every item we sell.
We put as much emphasis on packaging as on the smoking process. Great graphics, bold colors, and attention to detail in our package designhelp Kasilof products stand out above the rest.
