5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR VITILIGO!!!
I bought this product at Sophora and I am glad to say that I LOVE IT! Maybe Kat didn't invent it for vitiligo but it's the best I have tried and I've tried so many things! It is smudge proof and waterproof if you don't swim or use soap. Just use some translucent powder to set it, and boy, will you be impressed! I read on another site that it's only used for white...

I bought this tattoo concealer with high hopes. I went to Sephora, got a color match and bought all 4 steps. First the tattoo eraser is a light pink eyeliner that doesn't dry. I waited 5 minutes between applying the "eraser" and the concealer. As soon as I applied the concealer it pulled the first layer of the eraser off. I applied the concealer with the little brush...

5.0 out of 5 stars you have to know how to use it!, June 8, 2010
This review is from: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer (Misc.)
ok so i bought this concealer at sephora a few months ago when i got a job at a bank and i needed to cover up a tattoo i have on my left hand, its a very pretty tattoo i love it and dont regret it however, tattoos in general just arent bank teller appropriate. so in a moment of desperatey i bought the whole line of kat von d tattoo cover ups. that includes the tattoo eraser, the actual tattoo concealer, then a matte powder, and a finally a makeup sealer, when used corectly this system works flawlessly! thats why you cant just buy the concealer and expect it to cover everything perfectly theres a whole line up of products you have to go through to get the real coverup. however a little suggestion, to those who just want one product not a line up, ben nye works for heavy coverup as well i would suggest the 12 color concealer pallete so you can mix the different shades to match your own perfectly, it works great for tattoos and skin discolorations a like just remember to get a good sealent as well to set it or its worthless.(the reason why i got kats products instead of getting bens concealers which i knew worked was beacause i couldnt wait for the products to be shipped and kats are at any sephora store).and heres a link to the ben nye palette i mentioned if anyones interested. Concealer Palette - 12 Colors (Refillable) - Multi

5.0 out of 5 stars It really does work if you use the following...., October 6, 2010
I bought it yesterday at Sephora. I had them match up what color shade was compatible w/ my skin, so i got to see it work on one my tattoos before i bought it. I will upload my pic to amazon when i get the chance.

This concealer really does work, and i bought it because I trust Kat. She's a tattoo artist, I'm a tattoo artist... and from one artist to another, she would def know what it takes makeup wise to conceal something (my opinion). Anywho, i was really impressed in the store, and i bought the correct shade for my skin, the tattoo eraser pencil, and the powder that YOU HAVE TO HAVE in order to set it.

we tried just the concealer alone w/o the powder & w/o the tattoo eraser, and IT WILL NOT CONCEAL W/O THE POWDER/eraser. i have the pic to prove it. W/o these products, it just puts a brown shade over your tattoo (i was testing it over a black tribal wrist band i have - which is darker then the one i orig. bought it for), so it's important you get the powder to set it and the pencil, or else it's just like any other concealer, worthless.

I was just going to go in thinking the concealer would work alone w/o the powder, and then just buy the concealer. No i am so glad they did the sample on me, cuz you totally have to have that powder to set it.

So here's what I went with: Makeup Forever Paris Duo Mat (price was steep in sephora, $32, cost more then Kats concealer), Kat Von D tattoo concealer - shade Light - $25, Sephora Eye Liner - white $5.00 (they didn't have any of Kat's tattoo eraser, and her eraser is a light pink to combat the blues/blacks of tattoo inks). I wouldn't know how Kat's eraser compares since they were out, but Sephora's White eye liner pencil did the job of erasing the tattoo and concealing it great!! So if you want to keep price low, go for Sephora's eye liner pencil - white one. $5.00 (Kat's pencil is $14)

To the person below who needed to cover up the back tattoo for the wedding, you must not of applied it right or maybe didn't have ALL the proper products to conceal it. W/ the powder and the eraser, that tattoo will cover up! W/o it, it won't. Next time do it the right way, before you totally just go up and bash a product line w/ your bad review cuz you didn't do it right.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kat Von Krappy, July 1, 2011
This review is from: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer Light (Misc.)
I applied the concealer with the little brush that came with the kit and the concealer pulls itself off. Although it does provide some coverage it doesn't cover the tattoo completely (mine is small and not that dark either.) This concealer is very, VERY greasy and an hour after applying it still doesn't feel dry. Forget layering it. The setting powder does make it feel drier but I was hoping to add a second layer of concealer to try and get the coverage I was hoping for. Everything I've touched since "concealing" my tattoo has a beige smear on it. The only reason I didn't give this product one star is that it does cover a little better than regular ol' cheap coverup, but the difference is so marginal that I wouldn't waste my money again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Covers well, but needs two coats, very small bottle., January 26, 2011
This review is from: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer Light (Misc.)
I have a very large green and black celtic cross on my back that I had to cover for a wedding I was in. I used the pencil (tattoo eraser) and this light concealer. It does need two coats (with drying in between) and I needed to use my own powder to match the color to my skin (I'm a natural redhead and it dries very close to my skin tone, but still needed a little bit more color to match), but it completely covered and looked great. The bride was very happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!, September 21, 2010
I love this concealer; it truely conceals tattoos, bruises, vericose veins, anything you want to conceal. I found this great blog that shows oyu how to apply it step by step here [...] I tried it with an HD powder, like they recommended in the blog and it keeps it on all day even in the water/while sweating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Concealer, April 16, 2009
This review is from: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer (Misc.)
I know that this is a tatoo cover up, but I use it for concealer under my eys and on my cheeks for rosacea. I love it! It's not oily but not dry either. It stays on all day. Good purchase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as advertised, September 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Works like any regular concealer. I have no idea why they bothered to specify it as TATTOO concealer. It is very bad at covering dark tattoos; I have to do the trick with the red lipstick first before the tattoo concealer will even cover up my black tattoos. Basically, I can buy any cheap concealer and it will work the same. I watched a video with Kat Von D applying the concealer to her hand tattoos and they looked like they disappeared instantly. Not so when you're the one actually using it. I do give it props, however, for not getting wiped off easily once it's dry--it doesn't even stain my clothes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Concealer, July 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I use this concealer on my dark under eye circles. It works really well covering the darkness under my eyes. It tends to smudge off after a several hours but what concealer doesn't. I use this product alone though. Out of all the undereye concealers I've tried, this is definitely the best.

Her products are great. This does work but you need to get her eraser pencil and powder for it to actually be flawless
