The Kata CCC-10 Compact Camcorder Case is designed to hold medium size camcorders such as the Sony DSR 370 & 570, Canon XL-1/S/ XL2, JVC GY-DV500 and similar models with battery and lens installed. The CCC-10 has 1 main compartment and 3 Exterior pockets and 2 removable dividers. The compact lightweight streamline design provides comfortable carrying and working options. This case is inexpensive for the quality you get, and with the soft divider kit I made it fit my Canon XL-H1 like a glove. I've traveled a lot and this case is just small enough to fit in the overhead compartment of most airlines. It looks sharp too. Great case, best one I've had.

Before purchasing this camera case I purchased a hard case. I hated that case due to the weight, size and the fact that you had to remove the viewfinder assembly to put the camera in the case. That was returned. I wanted a case where I could quickly remove the camera and begin shooting. This is a good well padded case that allows that but if it were raining the camera would definately get wet based on the long flap on the top. My other concern is the zipper that can scratch the camera. I would like to see a soft protective flap around the zipper that once the case is open the camera is shielded from that long zipper on both sides. Lastly this case is a little narrow for a Canon XL2. Length is fine but a tad too snug on the sides. I'm thinking of buying an additional XL2 and I will research other cases before purchasing another one of these.
