The Kata F-417 GDC Field Laptop Case is designed for fieldwork, both a protective TST carrying solution, and a perfect work station wherever you may be. Numerous padded pockets and organizers will store CDs, floppy disks, a PDA, cell phone, papers, files etc. An adjustable hood will shade the LCD screen and elevation pads underneath the laptop, provide extra cushioning and ventilation. The F-417 features 3 carrying options: By hand with Click handle, on your shoulder or using the optional Insertrolley. A removable partition allows you to divide the main compartment to store a mouse, a charger or an extra drive.

This bag is great for in the field work. I shoot video using the Panasonic P2 cards, and I needed something I could take on the road and use with a couple of hard drives. With this bag there is space for everything. I keep the hard drives in the pouch where they stay connected to the computer. When I need to download, I just open it up, pop the card in and go. Nothing needs to move. And it's great having the stiff outer shell. I just got back from shooting in South Africa and the bag held up great.
