It's very well made.

While attached in a hidden pocket at the bottom (like some LowePro bags) would be great, it does not need to take up space in compartments.

Looking for a durable and lightweight camera bag. Although it is a "Minibee", it has stored my camera body, 50mm, 17-55mm, 10-24mm, 80-200mm, flash, tripod and lots of accessories. Tripod can be carried on the side or the center. Lots of space which can be configured inside. Great for travelling and great for carrying all day. I have been carrying this bag for a full day during one of my trip and my shoulder still felt ok due to the gecko hardness. This bag is much more expensive compared to the similar rival brands but it is definitely worth it.

1st the Amazon shipping has been excellent. The bag is very stylish, good looking and very sturdy. One can say the Engineering design is excellent. The harness system is awesome. Its very smooth on me.

I have 1st ordered a Kata PL-220, Its a very good bag too but the the size of the bag very very huge. The only problem I have seen is if I have to travel carrying this bag, I have to make sure I board an Airbus 330 or equivalent.
Any small connection flights like Embrier, Bombardier or any 60-75 seat flights , It doesn't fit in the bins and you might be asked to check in. And this is the only reason which made me to think abound the Kata Mini Bee PL-120.

Kata advertises that this bag can fit 6-8 lens and has a Laptop compartment which fits a 13 inch laptop or Ipad. However, Nathan Anderson, one of the Amazon reviewer for this product has confirmed he was able to put in a 15 inch MBP. I decided to take my chance in ordering this bag and I absolutely happy that, I can fit my 14-inch T430s very comfortably in there.
This said, please take a note that my T430s has a thinkness of .85 inches. I could not put my adapter in the bag though.

In the bag, I was able to place a D800 with Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 attached. I am also carrying a Nikon 70-200mm f 2.8, Nikon 16-35mm f4, Nikon 50mm , Nikon MB-D12, 3 Spare batteries some cables and few small accessories.
Don't have any room to put anything else and when loaded with everything, the bag is really very tight. From the outside, it would looks like a fully loaded backpack...not so big.

And last, this bag will definitely fit in all the small feeder aircraft and this is also one of my requirements.
Over all, I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a sturdy nice camera bag. I own a Nikon D7000 and the body fits very nicely into the groove. However I feel for bigger bodies, you may feel a bit snuggy. Even if you have the extra battery attached to the body, this may feel small. A lot of space for your lenses and other gears in the main camera compartment. However, the tablet/ipad/laptop space is really small and tight. Its probably good for a ipad2/3. I own a ipad 1 and its very difficult to push that in and take it out easily. I also tried to store a mac book pro into it. It will barely go in there. Not a laptop space for sure. The outer small zipper is just too small. Not enough space to organize your memory cards, remotes, cable release etc. There are small pen-holster type hooks inside the small zipper. I could not figure out what will they be good for. So if you have lot of accessories like filters etc, you will need to use the main compartment to store them. Personally I like to store filters etc in a separate compartment. The tripod holster is good. I have a Gitzo 1541 (4-section) and it is perfect for the size. However if you have bigger or (3-section) longer tripods, then the holster and bag size might fall short. As described, you can have the tripod at the side or or on the top depending on how you like it. I normally carry it in side. The size zipped space is good for memory cards and cables if any. I would not store filters or glass things in there as its not padded. Overall good bag. solid protection if you just use the main compartment. Not lot of liberty in organizing using other spaces. So personally I would have liked more spaces to really organize yoru memory, and accessories as other kata bags are good at.

I read a lot of reviews around the net for the bag I figure I'll comment on what I think about some of the things people complained about.

No attached rain bag. - While attached in a hidden pocket at the bottom (like some LowePro bags) would be great, it does not need to take up space in compartments. There is a little loop on the back side of the top flap to the main compartment. There is a clip on the bag for the rain/sun protector. That clip locks on the little loop and hangs off the top flap with no need for putting it in a compartment.

Small Laptop storage - Read that it barely fit a 13" mackbook and not much else. Um pretty sure they were using the wrong part. There is a sleeve as part of the back and strap harness. I'm sure if they thought that was for the laptop that's why they said it was too small. If you use the zippered laptop compartment it's pretty spacious. I fit my mother's 15.6" Toshiba Satellite ( Great Laptop by the way. 10 key!) no problems. Fit in loosely, and you know it's fatter than a mackbook.

Tripod straps - Yeah its odd not to have it attached. Doubt I'd use it anyway since i have a light stand bag where I keep my tripod and a couple light stands. I put it between the side of the bag and the outside of the removable compartment (between the two velcros). Out of the way, didn't take up bag space.

Shoulder straps being too grippy and hard to take off bag. - Um... I don't know what to say. I'm not the skinniest kid on the block and I don't have any problem. The straps are odd, they are very rubbery foam. With the dimples I kinda get an amphibian feel. Seems like something that would be used on the Metal Gear Gekko, probably how the strap system got its name. Not really though.

Now my thoughts.
