Three areas of karate are covered in this training guide: 1) Combination techniques (renraku waza). Through the use of these techniques, you will be able to deliver a relentless attack to your opponent; 2) Paired techniques (yakusoku kumite). By practicing pre-arranged sparring techniques, you develop the ability to react to any situation in free sparring. These techniques provide you with the physical means to succeed in kumite, and they develop the necessary mental concentration skills as well; 3) Kata. This volume demonstrates Bassai, Wanshu, Ji'in, Rohai and Useishi kata.
