I have used this product for the last six years on both short (2 Day) and long range (15 Day+) wilderness backpacking trips in the Rockies. Ideal for extended trips when supplying water for yourself or 1-2 others, or for shorter trips when supplying water for larger groups. Easy to setup and use, even in less than desirable conditions. Pumps efficiently and quickly. Much prefer the straightforward "up and down" pumping motion, versus the "sideways" method on newer systems. Can fill 1000ML (32oz) Nalgene bottle in less than 2 minutes. Filler cap fits directly into most 1000ML Nalgene bottle openings. Never had any problem with malfunction. Filter is easy to change out and can be cleaned in the field, if necessary, to keep it operational. Highly recommend buying a replacement filter to have on hand, however. One filter has lasted for an entire 15 day trip, pumping water for 2 people, out of some pretty nasty sources. Would highly recommend this product for those who venture deep into the wilds.
