5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic saxaphone jazz artist, you need to hear him!, November 25, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Katallasso (Audio CD)
Great Variety, a lot of original music with a touch of old standards. A wonderful arrangement of Stevie Wonders' Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing. The Variey of the album is definitley shown in Samba Sao, a Tom Braxton/Kirk Whalum duo, written by Kirk Whalum. The Title Track Katallasso will certainly catch your attention.

5.0 out of 5 stars God's Peace, November 14, 2003

I was fortunate enough to hear Tom Braxton live---let me tell you, I have not heard anything like his music since. I bought his CD Katallasso immediately, but because I moved and misplaced it, or loaned to someone, I needed to order another one. Finally, I found it...I feel like I found a "gold mine of peace." His music is straight from the throneroom of Heaven.

5.0 out of 5 stars Katallasso, September 26, 2001
This review is from: Katallasso (Audio CD)
Tom embodies the true feeling of meekness and strength in his music and through his life. I am forever moved by his skill on his mighty horn as he moves with the cloud. This CD is Great!, I would say he has transended to the next level since "Your Move"
Tom your a blessing!

The thing about Tom is, he's sincere. This is so evident in his music. He's honest and it clearly comes thru loud and clear thru his music. He gives off such good energy. He is a passionate performer because he is a compassionate person.

Tom is an excellent musician and loves GOD. He will do very well in this business. I play drums in his band from time to time and really enjoy his music. If you can, go see him when he comes to your town and watch the musicians, they are having FUN!

5.0 out of 5 stars So Amazing!, April 25, 2003

Tom Braxton is one of a kind. He is probably the most versatile musician I have ever heard. He plays with such anointing and skill. As a former student of his, I can honestly say that he really works on his craft. He knows what to do with what God has blessed him with. He is a Christian family man, skilled musician, and an educator. Does it get better? Keep an eye out for Tom. He is going to make these other sax players work. God bless!!

Forrest

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent surprise, November 14, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Katallasso (Audio CD)
Tom Braxton is in town for a small, intimate concert and I had the opportunity to meet him. I was impressed with his grace and style as a person and purchased this CD from him (which he signed for me). I was interested in him personally but really had no clue as to his musical genre. I was more than pleasantly surprised. This is a sophisticated production of what I call "late night Jazz". It is very easy listening and I would recommend this to soft jazz fans, who want a touch of New Age. Excellent.
