To me it looks and feels like plastic, April 24, 2010

I ordered this Tutti Fruitti Maryanne bag from Kate Spade website directly in 'White Truffle'. I was very disappointed when it arrived. It looked like cheap plastic although it is real leather. To me it looked a little on the tacky side. It came crammed into a small box that was far to small to fit the bag appropriately. This resulted in the bag being smashed and misshapen, especially the handles of it. It never bounced back into shape. The tag with the price had been cut off and put in the pocket. This bag had something that looked like Catsup or blood in a few spots on the stitching around the two top corners of it. The bag was also dirty with black specks all over it. I think the bag I received looked like it might have been used and returned by someone else before it came to me. I bought the bag on sale at the Kate website at $223.00. I think the bag should have arrived to me in pristine shape at that price. Even though it was on sale $223.00 is still a hefty sum for me and I believe for most average people.Needless to say, I sent it back. I was surprised to have this kind of experience with a higher end company.
