This debut CD was followed up by the more acclaimed and successful "Believe." And though the follow-up has more radio-friendly songs, I have to say that if you like "Believe" then your music collection can't be without Katie's debut CD.

While most people will only recognize two songs from the debut CD ("17 In Abilene" and "Make Me Believe"--which was actually remixed into a better-sounding version (to me) on "Believe"), listening to the entire CD will give an appreciation for exactly how great a vocalist Katie really is. I've always believed that great vocalists are the ones who really shine in the slower songs because almost anybody can fake their way through a raunchy, rocking song but there's no way to fake your way through a ballad. And this CD is loaded with songs that showcase Katie's unbelievable vocal talents. "Let Him Go," "Just Can't Say Goodbye," "Now You Do," "Beautiful In Me," "Love Without Fear," and the old rock ballad "Love of a Lifetime" are a few of the songs on which Katie's voice shines like the brightest star in the sky.

Five big stars, actually.

A very good country music CD from a very young singer. Katie definitely has promise with a clear, strong and pleasant voice. The music is good too. Country but not "twangy." Modern country that can be appreciated by fans of other genres. Hopefully Katie keeps going; she is for real.

GAC Network is now playing a video by Katie "Make me Believe". It is beautiful & she has a strong voice & you just can not watch when she sings. I wish her luck with her singing career. Cookie Lowe, Athens, TX

This is Melissa Black - voice and piano teacher in Peoria,Az - also the home studio of JORDIN SPARKS - american idol. I LOVE this singers' voice, personality, on-stage presence,etc... Her music is being sung by so many of my country singers in my studio - i learned her songs yesterday just by listening to them - and now all of my young female students can enjoy her music - this girl is HERE TO STAY and is going to be HUGE in the music industry for decades to come - good luck katie!
