While watching the video was a short lesson on the history and problems at Pennhurst, and the subsequent closing of it, what people do NOT realize is that there still exists a place that looks almost identical to Pennhurst, that still remains OPEN!!! It is called Polk State Hospital and is in Polk, PA. The conditions at Polk have never been as bad as they were in Pennhurst, at least not while I was ever there visiting, but the fact remains that there are STILL places like this open in America and NO ONE seems to even know about it. Not even places like "The History Channel". Try walking through a place like this, that is still open and then we will talk about dark feelings and being scared!

As someone who loves history I enjoy a lot of aspects of this show. Its filled with historical tidbits and interesting locations. During the episodes there are frequent references to ghost (people who have seen paranormal things are interviewed) and they talk about how the history of a place could create a ghostly disturbance - but it never really rises to a real "ghost show. And it really isn't a history show. Being something indistinct and in between - the entire series is less than it could be.

On camera evidence reviews were not sufficient enough to make a conclusion. It is just like, "This thing showed there and another thing showed on that spot; so this place must be haunted." kind of analysis.

This is mostly a repeat of forensic files. No pertinent information regarding actual hunted or paranormal activities. Not worth the money

Enjoyed the Gettysburg episode. It was interesting to watch. Have toured many of the areas. Beautiful area to have been the site of such horror. God bless the military, they sacrifice much for their beliefs.

My husband and I originally purchased this show for the episode on the Civil War/Gettysburg hauntings, but ended up liking the series as a whole. Good stuff, not hokey.

The announcer is a little annoying. I feel like I'm watching an hour long commercial. and the facts are sensationalized and exaggerated.

The history aspect was the main reason I bought this, and as far as that went it was excellent. The stories were entertaining, although some of the paranormal evidence was easily explained. One episode had a photo that was obviously a double exposure.
