I enjoy Katy Keene (KK) and this book gives you the "back story": what happened to her parents, Sis' real name and how she became an amiable, reluctant multi-faceted/talented superstar. It also explains how her rivalry with Gloria began and implies why KK has so many boyfriends. The artwork is good but for fans, like me, who met Katy from Archie comics; well, it takes some getting used to -- she looks so different! Despite this, I would still recommed this to any KK fan.

I got this somewhat thin, small-sized paperback specifically for the art. It looks to me like a combination between J. Scott Campbell & the more classic style of Archie comic art.

I bought Archie's excellent Betty & Veronica Summer Fun and this title at about the same time. I guess this is considered a new look into Katy's story & rise to fame. She's a model, singer, actress... an all-around star. One of the highlights of the book is the many outfits she wears throughout, seemingly designed by fans of the character. The artwork is the best part of the book for me, mainly due to the artist's skill in drawing women & various fashion designs.

Many Archie books are featuring updated art styles these days. This is my 1st purchase featuring the newer look, and it's actually pretty interesting. Still, I think I prefer the more classic drawing of a Dan Decarlo, but I'm always interested in checking out new styles.

I had a lot of anticipation, remebering how eagerly I waited for the next Katy Keene comic
book when I was a child. A new comic book and a 10 cent ice cream cone and I was in heaven.
Like most things, Katy has changed and while there have been some great changes, I guess I
still long for the 'old' Katy. But that's only because the old memories seem sweeter because
time has made them so. I enjoyed the comic book and my trip into the past.
