Accurate, clear, scientific, practical.
For less than six dollars, this book offered everything that I wanted about how to take kava. I realized the mistake I had made on timing the dose. I just love how Dr. Sahelian explains complicated things in simple ways. I'm glad cautions and side effects were included.

Quick Read, but not well written
This book is fairly typcial of volumes that are written quickly, to make hay during one of America's many trends. Although much was left unsaid (and unverified), the book does fill in some of the blank spaces about kava and its uses. The author could - and should - have done a better job organizing and fact-checking.

Good, practical information., October 13, 1998

This review is from: Kava: The Miracle Antianxiety Herb (Mass Market Paperback)
Dr. Sahelian's kava book was exactly what I was looking for. It clearly explained how much to take, when to take it, how often to use kava, and a list of cautions and side effects. The tone was genuine, straighforward, and without hype. I also found the chapters on other herbs, such as valerian, hops, and passionflower interesting. I give it five stars.

This review is from: Kava: The Miracle Antianxiety Herb (Mass Market Paperback)
Everything I wanted to know about kava, the safety, the right dosages, how to combine it with other nutrients was there. I loaned the book to my doctor who also enjoyed it and said he learned a lot from it.
