I purchased this bike for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. It is a nice looking little bike, and assembly was fairly easy, however it seems the overall quality of the bike is fair at best. I encountered one major problem when assembled ling it when I discovered the front fork that holds the front wheel was badly bent. This was not damage, it obviously came from the factory this way. We were forced to stick it in a vice and bend it back into shape in order to fit the front tire on. Other than this, there were no problems. It was a little scary doing this on Christmas eve and worrying we might not be able to put it together. Even with the problem we encountered, assembly did not take more than 30-45 minutes. For the price, it seems to be a decent little bike. My daughter loved it and has had no issues riding it. It seems to be a good size for her. She is about 43" tall and weighs about 50lbs. Hope this helps.

I wasn't expecting a top quality bike for the price. I also wasn't expecting 1) missing seat clamp bolt, 2) generic directions that didn't reflect the configuration of all parts needing to be assembled , 3) handle bar assembled improperly, 4) the nuts on the front axle were overtightened such that wheel would not turn, and 5) an improperly welded fork that was slanted inward and precluded insertion of the front wheel. Unfortunately I corrected the other problems before finding the last problem, which prevented final assembly - the night before my granddaughter's birthday. A missing bolt is understandable but the number of problems with this bike suggest general poor quality and quality control so I recommend you buy a different brand. (After posting this I read other reviews that noted problems with the front fork but those reviews suggested the forks were damaged in shipment. There was no damage to my bike; the curved side tubes are welded to the center tube and it was obvious that the left one was improperly aligned prior to welding.)

I should have listened to the reviews on this bike, but my daughter REALLY wanted a green one (but not a boys bike) so I took a chance. Well, the box it is shipped in is just that...a box. NO packaging at all between the bike and one layer of cardboard. The box was ripped open in spots, the back wheel was bent and scratched to the point that we had to wait to give it to her until we got a replacement wheel (good marks for the bike parts company listed on the manual, we received the new back wheel free of charge within 4 days of ordering it on their website).

As for the bike itself, it is also not that great quality (though from the reviews I wasn't expecting much) but my daughter LOVES it, was thrilled with the color and the (cheap) bag/bottle so I will give it 3 stars. I would expect more from Kawasaki but old companies just don't have the quality they used to. With the new back wheel it will serve it's purpose to help her learn and get her through the "crashing into things and wiping out" phase, but for her next birthday I'm getting her a nicer bike.

The bike is sturdy, beautiful and it's a BMX type of bike. Mi daughter love it, the color for a girl it's perfect too. I know everything it's pink for girls and this is a great option.

Because of the cheap way it was packed with the front forks positioned on a corner of the box, those forks were badly bent during shipping. I fear until Kawasaki spends a few more cents in packaging every one of these bikes will be susceptible to the same damage. As such, I will be looking elsewhere for my child's bike.

I just received this bike and sure enough the front fork is bent and the front wheel will not slide on. I don't think it happened during shipping. There is a plastic piece at the bottom of the fork (for shipping purposes) and it doesn't even appear that the fork every fit on the plastic piece the right way. I feel this company's quality control is lacking since this appears to be a very common problem in other customers reviews...I just didn't think it would happen to me. Buyer beware! I plan on calling the manufacturers tomorrow morning. Hopefully they will replace it otherwise amazon will be receiving this bike back!

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter, she loves the bike, once she got over the fact that it wasn't pink or purple.
The size is perfect for her age.
