This manual is more useful and easier to understand than the factory manual(s) and a lot cheaper. Some of the pictures could be a little clearer and the manual assumes a level of mechanical skill that may be a little above that of the average owner, but overall the manual is a must have for this great bike.

The manual is much easier to understand than the Kawasaki Factory Manual. Kawasaki could learn something by taking a look at Honda Factory Manuals (awesome). Anyway...the Clymer manual is a definite "must have" if you own a KLR650.

I don't know much about motorcycles except that they look cool and are fun to ride. Key to my interest in this hobby is my safety, enjoyment and performance ... If I'm going to work on a motorcycle, I want to do it right. Thus, I typically require step-by-step procedures in complex (to me) tasks such as maintenance and repair. This manual provides just that style of information in a clear, concise manner.

The manual is comprehensive and able to be understood at novice-level. Complete with descriptions of common maintenance procedures, tools required, visual aids (black/white photos) and tables of data for quick-reference (Fuel/Fluids/Lubricant, Checks & Adjustments, Tune-up Specs, Torques), I believe I got my money's worth.
