This review is from: Kay Gardeko?: The Royal Massacre in Nepal (Paperback)
I was extremely disappointed with this book. First of all it's tiny and offers little history or context beyond what could be found in news reports. I saw no special insider information that couldn't be ascertained elsewhere. Also, there are some facts that he completely affirms (Dipendra was indeed drunk) while other scholars have refuted these claims. There is no critical analysis and it reads like a short synopsis. The one plus of the book and only reason it didn't receive one star was it is loaded with colour pictures of the people, places, and events. There are no other books that offer such a plethora of visuals of the Royal Massacre. However if you're interested in the events, history, and facts I would suggest Massacre at the Palace: The Doomed Royal Dynasty of Nepal by Jonathan Gregson.
