Is this all?,

"Kayleigh" is one of Marillion's 'cheapo compilations', it has exactly the same track list as the mistitled "Essential collection". All these CDs are available in Germany for about $5. There's nothing wrong with the songs, but it's a wild und uncohesive mix of hits, b-sides, and album tracks. Granted, it does serve a purpose, since there are three songs, the 17-minute "Grendel", "Cinderella search", and "Lady Nina", which have appeared on the now out-of-print compilation "B sides themselves". But again, with the exception of "Grendel", you'll find all these songs on these new, remastered double-disc sets, and in superior versions. "Jigsaw" and "Punch and Judy" are taken from "Fugazi", the hit singles "Kayleigh" and "Lavender" are culled from "Misplaced childhood". "Torch song" is one of the key tracks of "Clutching at straws", dealing with Fish's alcohol problems. However, for a few dollars more you can have the comprehensive double-disc set "Best of both worlds", featuring all of Marillion's singles. Neither hit compilation nor rarities collection, the original intention of "Kayleigh" remains questionable.

This is actually a non official release. It is not sanctioned by the band. You will not find it on their official discographies. Save your money and buy something from their official collection.

Now im not a huge fan of this band, but i am just slightly impartial to the song "kayleigh" cause welll i was named after it. when my mom was pregnant she heard this song and thought the name was beautiful and that the lyrics were really how she felt about her relationship at that time. since i have such an unusual name i lvoe to tell people i am named after such a great song that most people have never even heard of. i am proud to be named after "kayleigh" its a wonderful song, and when you listen to the lyrics you will truly feel the impact of it.

When my mother was pregnant with me they didn't know if i was male or female. They had a few names in mind....Female:Beatris, Abelene or Anne. Male: Jimmy, john paul, Robert Paul(led zep names) While concemplating these names a song came on the radio....Kayleigh by Marillion. That was it that would be the name if i was a girl. You know how they say a baby can hear noises...well i began kicking when that song was being played. A few months later....There came a new baby. Kayleigh Marie. Thats me. I listen to that song and think that if it were not for it I may have been Beatris!!!!!!! :( Thank you Marillion! :)
