Product Description

Size: iPad Mini/iPad Mini Retina | Color: Bluey

Hi, I'm Bluey. They also call me KidBox, because I'm like the treasure box that every kid has, and you can use me to protect a big treasure that your family has - the iPad. I am designed to work for iPad mini. I hope the pictures have explained everything about me. I have a handle for the little ones to drag me around, and I can serve as a stand for them to watch videos. I love what I do, to protect your iPad, and make it easier for you to use. Take me home, and be my friend.

The teachers like them because the students can use the handle to carry the iPads around and the iPad is protected if it gets accidentally dropped.

This case works great for my 20 month old granddaughter to use her parents iPad 2 and my iPad 3. This case is attractive, durable, and protects the iPad in case it is dropped. Although the camera, power button, and volume controls are easily accessible to an adult, they are nicely tucked away from my granddaughter.

My granddaughter can easily take this case off the couch and put it on the floor and start opening her favorite apps. The case is lightweight and she can easily grasp either the handle or the sides.

Another review claims that the stand is not stable and that the iPad will fall over when your child touches the screen. But that depends on how you use the stand. If you position the iPad so the stand is at the bottom of the screen, then yes a simple touch will knock the iPad over. But if you position the stand so that it is at the top of the screen (which elevates the iPad just the right amount for a child to use it) then no amount of touching the screen will knock the iPad over. Also, using the stand in this manner also lets your child use it for portrait orientation, which is not possible if you position the stand at the bottom of the screen.

In any event, I think stands are important to adults, but not very important to toddlers using the iPad. Most of the time my granddaughter does not bother with the stand at all, and either lays the iPad flat on the floor or else flat on a couch. Other times I just put it on my lap. And when I sit in the back with her in the car when we travel, I never use the stand.

Finally, since this case takes a little bit of doing to take on and off, I decided to leave it on all the time rather than switch back to an "adult" case when our granddaughter goes home.

Firstly it protects the iPad and is carried around easily by my 2 year old. I have stopped worrying about her dropping the iPad and damagining the corners or shattering the screen. Even if the iPad falls face down, the screen does not touch the floor. My reason for giving a 4 instead of a 5 star is in the standing position, which is the preferred position for watching videos. My daughter sometimes like to change from one programme to another, the iPad falls over when you touch the screen as the stand is not sturdy enough in this position.

The color is not as light as featured none the less it is a beautiful hot pink.

My parents bough my 4 and 2 year old iPad minis for Christmas. When I heard that was to be their gift, I panicked and did a ton of research on the best case - my kids are fairly good with their things, but they're 4 and 2. :) I bought one of these cases in different colors for each.

Pros:
*The case is very, very sturdy and durable. The minis have been dropped several times and they nearly bounce.

*The handle is key - It makes it a lot easier for the kids to carry them around from place to place.

*The case is such that the ridge protecting the screen is fairly high, and keeps most large things off the face in the event it's not put someplace super safe.

*The little stand works perfectly for letting them sit at a table and watch something or play a game.

Cons:
*The case is so deep, we had a hard time plugging in headphones. My husband drilled the headphone hole a tad wider so we could get the head phone plug in and out.

*There isn't really anything protecting the screen itself. We did purchase Zag screen protectors - which we would have done regardless, but in my perfect world, this case would have some sort of door or cover that flipped around it from the back and fully protected the screen. I couldn't find that kind of case that also had the kind of bulk and protection to it that this case did.

*The button for the on/off switch is hard for little fingers to manipulate. This hasn't been an issue for us since we make the kids bring them to us when they're done and they're placed up high where they have to ask for them again. It helps us control usage. In another year or two, my 4 year old will be able to do it herself.

All in all - I love this case and am ordering two for my sisters kids.

I originally typed in 'kids iPad cover' when searching for a case to protect my iPad 3 from my 2 toddlers. The blue one came up, I read all the specs and decided to give it a try. Because I have a boy and a girl, I decided to go with the orange case and completed my order. Of the 4 cases listed as 'color options', the orange one apparently is the ONLY one that does not have the handle. This is not what I wanted, nor what I expected to receive. Although I'm assuming that the iPad is easier to get out of the cases that actually have a handle, I found it very difficult to remove it from the orange one. I am returning this and trying my luck with a different brand.

**Review Update**
I filled out the 'seller feedback' through Amazon and was quickly contacted my the manufacturer of the case in regards to my issue. They offered me a few options to help resolve the problem and let me know they were working on a fix to the listing. They were very professional and I feel like they really know how to take care of a customer.
