16-year old Konatsu Narumiya, the manager of the boy's basketball team, has a crush on Yamaguchi, the team's captain, and when they attend an overnight camp, Konatsu sees this as her perfect chance to make a move. She's dead set on becoming a woman. In other words, she wants to have sex with Yamaguchi. Her friend, Haruki, is also coming along, but Konatsu learns an incredible secret about him. At night Haruki turns into a voluptuous girl named Haruko, complete with unbridled sexual desires towards Konatsu. Right out of the box Haruko is crawling and fondling all over her! While Konatsu wanted to become a "woman", that doesn't mean she wanted to do it WITH a woman! Konatsu's feelings are quickly confused because she doesn't know who she cares about now. Is it Yamaguchi, Haruki, or Haruko?

Kedamono Damano is manga at its worst. The gender bending gimmick has been done to death but Fukushima insults readers even further by not even giving any sort of explanation as to why Haruki changes into a girl at night. I mean, at least throw us a bone or a totally retarded cause such as a curse or a mutation. Something! The author states on the front page that with this story she hoped to create something a bit more mature than her previous works. She's failed miserably. The art is so bad that any hint of sexiness has been castrated and the characters are so slapdash and shallow that you could care less what happens to them in this series. There is nothing good about Kedamono Damono. Stay away. Very far away.
