5.0 out of 5 stars Great White Sneakers
The shoes arrived in a jiffy and were all that I'd hoped they would be ... a little wider than those of my youth (because that's the way I'd ordered them), still lightweight and comfortable, and with solid arch support. They're good walkers without being bulky. They're trim summer oxfords that don't overpower the look of an outfit. I got a stony-beach scuff on one toe,...

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened to the Quality???
I've ordered Ked's Champions in the past was very happy with the quality. The ones I recently received from this vendor are like the cheap rips-offs I could buy in ChinaMart for $5. No support, thin canvas - just junk. I'm taking pictures of them and sending them to Keds to ask if this is really their shoe. I think they are fakes.

UPDATE - I did contact Keds...

No support, thin canvas - just junk. I'm taking pictures of them and sending them to Keds to ask if this is really their shoe. I think they are fakes.

UPDATE - I did contact Keds and they admit they are not making these shoes like they used to. No support, no padding, more narrow, thinner canvas. I've bought Keds for almost 35 years so I know the difference. Save your money. You can get this same sneaker in any cheap shoe store for between $5-$8, it just won't have a Keds tag. This is no longer the bargain it once was. Another really good American product turned into the lowest common denominator. What's really sad is most of the people buying this shoe don't even know it's junk compared to what Keds sold just a few years ago.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got a stony-beach scuff on one toe, so I washed it. It washed and dried nicely, but the toe isn't pristine anymore, so, I guess I'll polish these sneaks just as I did in the '60s.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most comfortable shoe, July 21, 2007
I love this shoe. It is the same style that I had twenty years ago. The shoe is light weight, comfortable, and durable. I would highly recommend them because you would not want to wear any other tennis shoe.
Sincerely,
csh

5.0 out of 5 stars Not only for grandmothers., January 19, 2009
When I was growing up, my Floridian grandmother only wore one kind of shoe that I can remember: Keds. They were white, always so perfectly white, and as a fragile older woman, she could walk on her feet for days and not complain once. I can't say that it wasn't for all of the exercise classes she took in the pool at her apartment, or living directly on the boardwalk, but she never seemed to complain about her feet hurting.

So why am I reminiscing about a shoe? Well, as an 18-year-old who believes she has somewhat of a fashion sense, I recently purchased a pair of black Champion Basic Canvas Lace-Up Keds through Amazon.com. I had always been more of a Converse shoe person, but with more straight-leg/boot-leg jeans in style, a size 10 Converse looks a lot bigger than it needs to. So, I went out on a limb and ordered the Keds. I must admit that they were hard to take off. It didn't really seem to matter to me that there were 4 inches of snow outside or that I was supposed to be wearing my new boots. Nope, it didn't matter to me.

What I'm really trying to say here is that these Keds are by far one of the best purchases I have made in my "adult" life. They were cheap, about half the price of Converse, extremely comfortable, and [at least I believe] are pretty stylish. Although I'd probably never purchase the white ones, as they would remind me too much of my grandmother, any other color is great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!, February 9, 2011
I purchased a white pair of Keds tennis shoes recently. When they arrived, they looked wonderful and fit like a glove...I just loved them! After a week or so, they needed washed, so I put them in the washing machine with a load of whites and used cold water and a name brand laundry detergent. Imagine my surprise when I removed them from the washer to air dry, and discovered they were now a light blue color! Evidently the dark, royal blue foot liner 'bleeds'. It looks like I have a blue pair of Keds tennis shoes now...

This is probably my 10th pair of these sneakers. I wear them to death. Not fancy...comfortable...goes with all casual clothing and very "smart" looking. Very Audrey Hepburn.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid Shoemall!!!, July 31, 2006
Avoid doing business with Shoemall! Check their feedback! I've made two orders with Shoemall and both times they don't have my items in stock. It seems they don't update on Amazon regularly. I'll never buy from them again. Beware, they'll charge & send you the accessory to an item and later contact you that the main item is out of stock. This happened to me both times I've ordered. Really bad business practices!

I have a hard time geting shoes that are wide enough, sometimes even if they say "W". But, I could not have asked for a better fit! These are very comfortable and they look great too.
