Versitle, GREAT,

I've owned a pair of these for about six months now. I love them; they're my third pair of Keens I've owned (Newport and Arroyo). I was concerned at first because the Arroyo makes my feet hot and they sweat as a result of that. Not so the case with this shoe. I've worn them in some extremely harsh and dangerous terrain, shooting, running, 12+ hours a day and they are stable, provide excellent support and are comfortable. They required no break in period and the with the wide, solid toe cap its nearly impossible to stub a toe. The aggressive lugs provide excellent traction over loose scree and soft dirt and sand, and the leather uppers are durable and maintain their quality even after immeasurable wear. I recommend them to anyone.

very comfortable,

I have had these for a month or so and I am very happy with them. They are very comfortable and very supportive....and, if you have a large foot size, this doesn't make your feet look so big. The fit is true to size. This is a rugged shoe, but not heavy, and it breathes very well. I would have preferred the elastic type draw string, rather than having to tie them because they often come untied. I think it has to do with the type of shoe lace they used, as it is kind of thick. That's a minor annoyance, so I knocked off one star for that and not having the elastic or drawstring, like my Newports.

Quality Question to previous reviewers,,

So I think these shoes are very comfortable for my wide feet. I too had some issues though with the quality. After about 5 months I had a 3 separate problems where it looked like the glue failed. On a whim I contacted Keen and they replaced the shoes no questions asked. So I'd guess there may have been a bad lot somewhere, but with the excellent customer service I'd give them a chance. If this next pair fails early I'd say the shoes are garbage but otherwise this may have just been a bad lot.

Great Shoe!,
This review is from: Keen Men's Voyageur Trail Shoe (Apparel)
I was looking for a well built highly regarded shoe for use in spring & summer hiking. I've only just recieved them, so I can't give a fully comprehensive report, but they fit wonderfully. I typically wear a size 9.5 - 10 shoe, and these 10s fit great. Not a whole lot of room after that though, so if you tend to be a solid 10, I'd suggest maybe looking into a 10.5. I usually like to try shoes on before I purchase them, and was fortunate enough to have an REI by me that had this shoe in stock. My understanding is that Keens can sometimes run a little smaller than stated. However, they worked great for me. Very comfortable insole.
If you tend to have low arches, you may want to invest in a different insole. These thend to have a fairly good arch support. Not rediculous... just higher than a Merrell would have. In addition... make sure you try them on with whatever thickness of hiking sock that you plan on using them with. Most likely a light hiker (Smartwool or Redhead are my favorites).

Excellent fit but......,

... they don't wear very well. I have had three pairs of Keens now, sandles, street shoes and a pair of Voyageurs. The latter have been very comfortable out of the box, even for my broad feet. On that basis I shall most likely buy another pair. However, they haven't been stressed in terms of use and yet the sole has worn through on the ball of my foot. This part of the sole seems to be hollow and the amount of rubber just isn't enough. Pity, as the quality of just about everything else is very good and there is plenty more wear in the rest of the shoe.Men's Keen Voyageur - KN1258BRMDKeen Men's Voyageur Mid Shoe

Those loyal to Keen's Targhee II will love this model as well. It has the same framework, with an improved airable upper. As usual, the vendor Backcountry did a great job. I'm a sturdy robust sort who hits the ground with a resounding step. These are the only shoes (for work and play) that withstand my gait and comfort my feet. And I always replace the standard with high quality insoles. Enjoy!

Great shoes.,
This review is from: Keen Men's Voyageur Trail Shoe (Apparel)
Best shoes I ever had on my feet. Great on the trail, at a ballgame, or running around town taking care of errands.
Definitely NOT waterproof, so if you want to be jumping in puddles on the trail, you will need to go with its sweatier waterproof cousin.

I've climbed mountains so much, they're like home. Lean into that beauty, running or hiking, with a good pair of shoes. But walking on city streets can be tough on the old feet too. Heck, I've been coping with two ankle surgeries in one year, injured by a city's crumbling crosswalk, how ironic. After running up and down all kinds of steep terrain, sidewalks hurt my feet more than any trail. This excellent Keen shoe provides reliable support on both hard-packed trails and treacherous urban terrain. Enjoy!

Great Shoe for Wide Footers,

I have a terrible time finding shoes that accomodate my freaksihly wide feet right out the box. These more than took care of my paws. They are very comfortable and supportive. I'm giving them four stars because they took about a week to fully break in during which time there were little pokeys in the tongue area. Now they are just fine.

Most Comfortable Shoes I have Ever Worn,
This review is from: Keen Men's Voyageur Trail Shoe (Apparel)
I've been on a bunch of 5-7 hour hikes with these on and they are by far the most comfortable shoes I have worn... Even after being on my feet for 5 hours, my feet are not sore like they would be in other shoes. Highly highly recommended.
