I was looking for a backback that was a size in between the kiddie backpacks and the big kid back pack. It's more like a big kid backpack. I have a child going into 1st grade and its way larger than her back. Probably will save it for a few more years. Other than that it looks like a great backpack with lots of pockets and heavy duty shoulder straps.

I'm not one to buy cartoon character backpacks so when shopping for something for my rising kindergartener, I knew I didn't want spiderman or sponge bob. My son loves his backpack so much I have ordered a second for his younger brother. The whistle is great, as is the flashing light. Something you definitely won't find on regular school backpacks. It's the perfect size for an elementary age child. Will also double as an overnight bag or a "take a few things with you on a day long outing" type bag. Quality made and surely will last a long time. Would highly recommend.

I bought this for my son for kindergarten and he loves it. It is the perfect size for him to use now and to grow into for the next few years. It is so durable and he loves the safety whistle and light. The way it is divided inside is perfect for the folder he carries to and from school each day and big enough for his lunch box and pencil box too. We plan on using it for hiking as well. Very sturdy and a great buy. We bought red and it is a good true red.

I bought two of these packs for my boys - one in red and one in blue. They are a little big, but I am confident that they will last for a long time. Our plan is to use them for school during the year and camping/hiking trips during the summer. The pockets are appropriate and the cup/drink holders on the outside are strong. The bungee strap on the front is also great for holding jackets when quick access is needed.
