best shoe i have ever bought!,
I bought these for a geology field school and even though I realized quickly that geology was not the field for me, i have never regretted this purchase. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! When I lived down south, I usually just pulled them out to wear on nasty weather days due to the waterproofing, but now that I live up north I wear them almost every day! They are extremely comfortable, stay on your foot (I have narrow heels), have great arch support and keep my feet dry and warm!! They are great for running errands, site-seeing trips, or climbing up mountains of granite in TX! I find that they run true to size, but if you plan on wearing really thick socks, you might consider going up 1/2 size to compensate.

This is one durable all around outdoor shoe. Very stable and totally waterproof up to the ankles! I have several pairs of Keens, my only concern is these are a little hard on the soles of my feet. At the end of the day my feet are sore on bottom, maybe a little cushioning would help. But overall they are great.Order 1/2 size bigger than normal.

I'm on my second pair of these as I wore the sole off the first pair wearing them day and night for a couple of years. I don't think I'll ever wear anything else. They have great arch support so I don't even have to put my usual supports in. Lots of toe room and great for hiking. No more stubbed toes thanks to the rubber bumper. And they kept my feet warm and dry through rain and snow. No breaking in period either! I own the Keen Newport sandals also and love them as well!

This is a great shoe for the hiker and serious walker. It's not a flexible shoe like running shoe but offers great support for hiking. It took me about a week and a half to break it in and feel comfortable with it, but it was worth it. It's a heavy shoe, similar to most hiking shoes.

Not only are these shoes comfortable, they are superbly waterproof, and warm. The only slight downsides (not for me necessarily,) are that they are pretty heavy, and make my feet really hot! Not a summer shoe, but really awesome when its cold, dreary, and wet.

For the first time, I never stumbled or turned my ankle on our annual five mile hike to Len Foote Hike Inn.

These shoes are awesome I have worn my 1st pair daily and have walked my km's usually on the road or on gravel. These shoes are only just starting to show wear after 6 months of constant use (where as Top brand runners would have been thrown out after 3 months at the most). I rely heavily on having good footwear due to having bad ankles and needing to have good support and comfort. I would rate these shoes 10/10

Keen hit the nail on the head when they developed these trail shoes. They are sturdy and have great traction. I give them big kudoes.

This shoe would have worked out great, if the people deciding what to do with the shoe in the larger sizes realize, that feet do not get bigger in the heel and grow backward, they grow longer in the front. Perfect, everywhere except the heel was too large and moved up and down as I walked!! Larger sizes do not need to be bigger in the heel area!!!

These have to be the most uncomfortable hiking shoes made. Went for a 5 mile hike in them, and had HUGE bruises on top of my feet from the tong. I guess the sewn together tong is for the waterproofing, but where it is all sewn together puts pressure on top of the foot when laced. I tried everything. I have a bruise on top of each of my feet. Yes the hike was a more challenging one with steep drops and lots of rock, but that is what they are supposedly made for. I ended up finished the climb back up in my socks, that is how bad these shoes were. Bad design!!
