This review is from: Keep on the Borderlands Dungeon Module B2: Dungeons & Dragons Introductory Module for Character Levels 1-3 (Pamphlet)
The Keep On The Borderlands was the module that was included in the Dungeons & Dragons Basic Set back in 1981. To me, this is a classic dungeon crawl and one of the more "regular" modules in the series of D & D modules. It has a little bit of everything you'd find in a typical D & D dungeon. It is for character levels 1-3. It's a good introductory module to get your feet wet if you're new to D & D. Everything that is D & D can be found in this module - lots of monster encounters, lots of treasure, all in a dark and creepy dungeon. Hopefully there are still some people out there who play this REAL Dungeons & Dragons game from the '70s and '80s. This was the very first module I ever went through back in 1981, the year I was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons, and I became hooked. I even made my own homemade games that were inspired by Dungeons & Dragons.

If you want to go through an introductory module that is challenging but not so vicious that it'll turn you off to playing Dungeons & Dragons in the future, then go through this module. Just make the right choices and use your head. This module will make you hunger for more D & D adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars The module that most people likely saw, September 17, 2007

As their first Basic D&D Module. This module helped explain the methods of game mechanics to the new DM and any new players. It allows the DM to expand the module and gives a great start for a campain. Of course, this is one of the great original D&D systems (2nd edition).
