4.0 out of 5 stars The Doctor is in, February 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Blow Monkeys are one of those long forgotten 80's bands. I don't know why they are not consider more important. The Style Council with all it Paul Weller brilliance were over hyped. The Doctor and Mr. Weller share the same love of old soul music. Having that said I find Doctor Robert's solo work much more listenable than Paul Weller. I just didn't take the time to follow him in the beginning and it was my lose. Revisit the Doc and enjoy some fine recordings. This is a good place to start. It's a nice sampler of his solo work.
