5.0 out of 5 stars Old School Rockabilly with a Psychobilly taste!, July 6, 2005
This review is from: Keep the Flame Alive (Audio CD)
These boys are from the city of St. Louis. How do i know? Because I've seen these boys play live, listened to them on our local radio station (88.1 kdhx), and bought this album, their first one, and many many stickers and shirts. I even got to a chance to stuff a dollar bill down Mike's (lead vocals/tamborine extraordinaire)pants just recently.

Anyway, the record is an amazing rockabilly one. First off, the sound of music itself is clear and precise, which is important for those that want to hear the slapping of the upright. Secondly, the songs themselves are catchy and entertaining. "liqour Store" is one of my favorites because it reminds me of the stray cats, with the some what harmonized "Liqour store, liqour store" background chorus. "vampire" has a more psychobilly feel. Lastly, this new Album is an evolution, if you will, of the band's appearence and style. They've got a new guitarist, and they're looks have changed from the greaser look to a Modern punk/psychobilly mix. The songs are more tight and flow easier and the lyrics are certianly more original.
Sadly, this album doesn't present you with a third of the engergy that goes into one of their shows. It's great and all, but it's sounds and feels better live, with mike playing his tamborine and Powers slapping his bass like a madman on PCP.
This is a definite must for punks and rock n' rollers who want a modern psychobilly band with an old school taste.
