4.0 out of 5 stars Little Richard Rocks 'Em In Canada
In his little-discussed (3rd) Comeback ('68 to '71), Mr. Penniman never sounded better: a deeper voice, a harder piano, and a riproaring Rock 'n Soul band. It is tragic that this jubilant period in his chaotic career is not fully represented on record [there are 6 or 7 amazing Reprise tracks and a few exciting cuts for Brunswick]. But thanks to this home video we at...

4.0 out of 5 stars Little Richard Rocks 'Em In Canada, May 20, 2000

In his little-discussed (3rd) Comeback ('68 to '71), Mr. Penniman never sounded better: a deeper voice, a harder piano, and a riproaring Rock 'n Soul band. It is tragic that this jubilant period in his chaotic career is not fully represented on record [there are 6 or 7 amazing Reprise tracks and a few exciting cuts for Brunswick]. But thanks to this home video we at least get a strong taste of the live in '69 Little Richard on FILM, partying with all his girlfriends from the '50s: Lucille, Molly, Jenny, and Sally. Some new fans might be surprised to hear "Blueberry Hill" and "Hound Dog" - maybe they haven't learned that Richard cut these classics back in '64. What prevents me from issuing a FIVE star rating is that the Quasar plays piano on only two songs and that the opening number was actually performed next to last - the real show tells the 'rill' story! Shut up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Little richard singing in his 30's., June 17, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Keep on Rockin (DVD)
Little richard in his mid 30's. He is no longer in his prime but this is a rockin' show. He showed up John Lennon and all the other singers that sang at this concert that are not on the video. Little Richard is a tough act to follow.

The delivery of this item was very good. There was something to know that i wonna tell
that on this dvd you've find only a appearance of Little Richard from the movie
"Keep On Rockin' directed of D.A. Pennebaker. It was filmed in Canada i think.
I didn't know and i haven't find a complete film, on dvd, of this movie with all the
actors and they are: Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, John Lennon and
Yoko Ono (scenes were deleted) and Jerry Lee Lewis. Can someone tell where i can find a
complete dvd of this movie. I am therockman11.
