Fresh and New,

First single from her 3rd album called "Don't stop the Music". Although this album and single have not yet been released in the UK, most english (and impatient) fans will probably do what i did and download it off the net. The album is her best yet, the thing i like about Robyn is she is not scared to try something new. Not only does she take time to write and produce new styles herself, she pulls it off very well. This single is not as pop/rnb like her more celebrated songs "show me love" and "do you know what it takes?" but has a fresh sound and will get her recognised as a true talent. Many would probably try and categorise her with the Britneys and Christina's of the music industry, back in the days of her 1997 with her first album "Robyn is here" she would of been but her progression from then, through to her 2nd album "My Truth" to now with "Dont stop the music" her musical growth and talent is greatly shown. I think this album will finally be the making of her and she will gain the recognition she deserves from the USA to Europe. (Please come to ENGLAND!) im out xxxx

Keep It Burning, Robyn,

This review is from: Keep This Fire Burning (Audio CD)
After her much anticipated sophomore album Robyn is bac kwith a vengence. This R&B and dance inspired tune soars with Robyn's smooth vocals that blend in great with a pounding beat while the background arangements compliment the heavy strings. Differenciating herself from the rest of the pop troupe with her deep lyrics she leands a sense of truth and depth to pop music....

She's back!,

Robyn is back, with strong singing and a well-produced track. The beat sounds almost like a Darkchild-production, it's very clean and and at least I find it extremely catchy. Robyns light voice fits it perfect and the lyrics are easy to sing along with. The song is much more mature than her earlier tracks and it's a bit more rnb but I would still say it's pop.If her upcoming album is as good as this it will definitely hit bigtime. |
