This is one of my favourite Madonna songs. It should have done WAY better

While the remixes here (by Shep Pettibone) are outdated to say the least, they are still very much lovable ones, and are essential to the Madonna fan. This CD makes for an excellent companion to the Like a Prayer album. Any lover of Madonna or extended mixes of late eighties/early nineties dance will love this CD. Keep It Together peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1989, and deservedly.

"Keep It Together" was the last single from Madonna's hit 1989 album "Like A Prayer." This is an up-beat song with a very positive message. The song talks about how important family is, and never to drift apart, because "your family is gold." The remixes aren't anything spectacular, they don't change the original song too much, but remixes in the '80's, were usually just extended/dubbed versions of the original. I recommend you buy this single if you are a Madonna fan, and I recommend everyone to buy her excellent "Like A Prayer" album.

This song has a feel good vibe all over it. Great beat, positive lyrics, and the fact its Madonna make this song one in my playlist.

I must wonder if the "Laughable" person ever heard the song, much less this well produced maxi single. And where did the sleep with her father thing come from? Regardless of that obvious plebians opinion, Keep It Together is a whimsical tale, well written and a show piece of both "like A Prayer" and the closing number to "Blonde Ambition" Exellent job Madonna!

This song is really good, and these remixes are soooo early 1990's! But that's good! They really improved upon the album version in giving it a more house music sound. The song has a wonderful hook and melody and has kind of been forgotten over the years. In my opinion, one of the stand out songs from the Prayer album.

When I bought the Like a Prayer Album back in 89, Keep It Together, for me, wasn't a stand out track, then one day I heard a remixed version on the radio that reminded me of her remix of Express Yourself, I ran out and picked up the cassette single which contained the remix I had heard and an instrumental version on the b-side. So I wear out the cassette single just in time for the remixes to be released. I looked long and hard for the 12 inch single which at the time, was EXTREMELLY hard to find. Luckily I found it and was very pleased with the amount of mixes available. I later found out that this was the first DOMESTIC cd single that Madonna would release too in the U.S. The early 90's house sound that were used for the remixes of Keep It Together was just a preview of what Madonna was going to use to blow the world away with her hit single (and my all-time fav) Vogue.

This is the CD single of Madonna's Top Ten hit "Keep It Together". It's a great song, which is a tribute to her siblings. There are five remixes of it here. I particularly like the 12" Remix and the 12" Extended Mix. Madonna fans who dig remixes should check it out.

This is when I feel in love with Madonna. The entire "Like a Prayer" ablum has been a soundtrack to my life. And this song really types love, life, and family into that. The mixes are good, and the song is great!!!
