When this song came out earlier this week, I didn't really "get it". This isn't a song that opens up on the first listen-through. But like all good, complex, and experimental music it grew on me. There's so much going on here that I had to listen 4-5 times until I could take everything in.

The work of this group acts as an answer to the world we live in--an infinitely accessible informatic system that continuously drains out and re-establishes meaning. At least SOMEONE is dealing with this stuff, rather than pretending that it isn't happening or attributing the problem to some other generation of people.

This could have been a 3 star review on October 9th but I listened to this a week later and it was much better the second time around. Nice job, can't to hear more.

Mr. Reznor pulls it off yet again, further proving he's one of the only true musical heroes left. This is a lo-fi sort of emotional plea. Good music to contemplate to.

Btw, no need to buy this from amazon, because it and a few excellent remixes are available for free download on soundcloud.com.

In short, if you like what Treznor has done in the past, or just love challenging but ultimately rewarding experimental excellance, pick this up immediately.
