This was, by far, the best electro-pop album of 2008 and my vote for best record of the year. Others came close, but this record owned it. I stumbled across it at the beginning of '08 and it changed my perception of electronic music.
If you're looking for something upbeat, catchy and driven by synthesizers, this record was made for you.

I saw this album on emusic and picked it up a while ago. I hit up Amazon hoping that perhaps the quality was better, only to discover that it really was the album. All of the work on this album is very solid; youthful, lilting and unburdened by weighty expectations or pontification. Unfortunately, it is in desperate need of some professional mixing. It sounds much like it was recorded in a basement, which is probably because it was.
That aside, it's clearly brilliant, and this is someone to keep an eye on.
