THIS IS A GREAT DVD. I ALREADY HAVE THIS DVD ON VHS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN KEEPING DUCKS, THIS VIDEO OFFERS A LOT OF VALUABLE INFORMATION. HOWEVER, THE BREEDS IN THE DVD ARE DOMESTIC DUCKS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN KEEPING ORNAMENTAL DUCKS SUCH AS MALLARDS OR TEAL, THERE ARE NUMEROUS BOOKS YOU CAN READ. ALSO THERE IS A MAGAZINE CALLED THE "GAMEBIRD GAZETTE" THAT OFFERS VALUABLE INFORMATION ON RAISING GAMEBIRDS IN GENERAL.

THIS IS A GREAT DVD!

This movie is a joy for the beginner duck-enthusiast to watch! It covers nearly all of the domestic breeds and gives a quick overview of incubating, hatching, brooding, raising, and generally keeping, housing, and managing domestic ducks! It even follows the story of a boy showing his ducks in a show.

While it is a fun movie, for someone who already keeps ducks, it doesn't offer much practical advice. It's a great primer, gives a good, basic, overview, but wasn't very educational to me, as I've kept pet ducks for the past 5 years.

It's still great to have in your DVD library though - I watch it every now and then!
