This is the first in a planned series about Meryen, which, judging by Cook's intriguing first installment, promises to be a riveting historical saga filled with secrets, love, and lust. Gloria Cook is the author of several well-loved Cornish novels, including Trevallion, Kilgarthen and Roscarrock, as well as the Pengarron series. She is Cornish born and bred, and lives in Truro. Her favourite pastime is exploring Cornwall's coast and countryside, and historical places. She is married with a grown-up family.
